  • eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee THAT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • This reminds me of a Mad Max movie.

  • SteamDog

  • That something you built yourself right?

  • thats awesome! now make it into a giant spider like in the movie "wild wild west"

  • I feel really unintelligent...or at least uninformed, as I probably should at least check wikipedia before making a claim about a subject of which I know nothing. Woops.

  • thats by far the best use ive ever seen for a jug of water in my life!

  • Freaking awesome!

  • now scale it up a couple of times for epic win :D

  • little howls moving castle.

  • Who else is half expecting Jim West to appear and try and take that thing down?

  • The purpose you ask? A beer from the fridge to you without moving your fat ass.

  • U R so Sweet!

  • That one sure runs on alcohol... (hic!)

  • Now, just make it ten feet taller and ride it. True steam-punk style. Have it as rickety as possible.

  • so it does work!

  • The trouble with PaulCDickie is that he is too smart to exist.

  • Is it me, or is Howl's Moving Castle smaller in person?

  • Mechwarrior meets steampunk

  • The trouble with this design of walker is that it only has four feet and hence lurches from side to side, which causes problems with steaming. This can easily be seen in the video as the model starts off quickly from rest, but soon slows down as steam pressure is dissipated. A six-legged design would be more stable and should therefore steam better.

  • howl's moving castle!

  • Steam is the best power source EVAR!...except that it's useless, sadly.

  • What I do with steam is useless, that's for sure. But steam power itself is very useful.

  • not realy you could be onto something useful with your skills.

  • @crabfu: Indeed. The "Industrial Revolution" would not have happened and we'd still be living in the 1700's, technology wise, without steam. It's doubtful we'd even have developed any practical electrical technology without steam to power the generators.

  • Yes cool but not useless. What do you think is powering 90% of all of the homes in the world? Steam powered electric turbines.

  • Well. Now I should probably have a basis for thinking things before I say them. I concede, I'm sure (Geothermal?) Steam energy is extremely useful for powering private homes/cities.

I'm really surprised I didn't get, like, -15 thumbs down.

  • Nuclear powerstation is also steampower. :)

  • @Kaixero considering it's used to generate 80% of the worlds power, via nuclear and cole oil, and gas powerstations, i doubt its useless :p

  • in fact even an atomic power plant uses steam to generate power.

  • steam punk star wars anyone?

  • that would be an awesome centerpiece for some steampunk wargaming

  • remember me to the spider from Wild Wild West...

  • that is awesome

  • yes i can, yes i can, yes i can

  • Cool.

  • empire strikes back... 1800s style

  • @Drsalty2u

    It's a 19th century Lowrider.

  • NOW ! GO MAKE ME SOME TOAST!

  • now add a giant canon on it and destroy the enemy

  • i remember seeing a walking castle in some anime...reminds me of this...

  • Howl's Moving Castle, perchance?

  • you must build it with 6 legs and it will walk much better, but it looks awesome!

  • needs a way to turn and a gun. Then super-size it.

  • very very cool. i like it at 50:00 when it smokes very strong.

  • The fake smoke stack on my jenson model 60 always falls off too. I have never seen anyting like that before. How long did it take you to make that?

    Thaks

  • Steampunk ? =]

  • you should look into making a steam powered theo janson strandbeest

  • Looks like a modified Wilesco D14 and a Meccano set. Good job, I wish I could make something that cool.

  • ハウルの動く脚

  • pretty cool. whats the boiler explosion hotline again?
