lol no not the same as the ls1 350 which is actually a 346 its a 6.0 out of trucks and escalades depending on whether its lq4 or lq9 think there a 360 naturally and can only be stroked to a 427 MAX

How tough was it to swap the 7.0 in it? I have a 98 Camaro Z28 and just the 350 LS1 looks like it has a tough time fitting in there already. I'm looking to start working on mine and I don't know whether to improve the LS1 or just swap for that

@LS1Camaro23 If I'm not mistaken, these blocks are the same size as a 350. Only they are stroked out to a 427. There shouldn't be any fitment issues.

@LS1Camaro23 In the 60s when GM designed the F-body the engineered it to handle the biggest engine the made. If I'm not mistaking, it was a 572, so a 427 has no problem going in an F-body

@hernandadmx yeah but he swapped in an LS7 apparently. all LS blocks are the same size on the outside but the cylinder bore differs.

@hernandadmx if im not mistaken (which i very well could be) all the ta's came with a v6 or an LS1 (5.7). WS6 was a performance package you could get that included ram air and some other goodies but it was still an LS1. its very common among ta owners to drop in an LS7 but it was never offered as a stock option.

The block was a 6.0 and not a 6.2? How did you get that big of a bore from a 6.0? Sleeves I'm guessing. Because I understand that 4" and up cranks will bring the piston out of the bottom of the bore with the shorter sleeves that are found in factory blocks, the LS7 being the exception.
