  • memang best!

  • wheres the league of legends.

  • yes no butt shaking at all for inang renek

the original version were choreographed by Encik Wan Nor Alam from BADAN KESENIAN NEGERI KEDAH.

The costume for this PPAG dance also not in proper for inang renek they wore the NYONYA KEBAYA,hence this is not nyonya dance right. thumbs down for the costumes but thumbs up for their effort (dancers)..

  • SIgh... I can't seem to fine this music online.

  • lemme tell you, notice why the dancers butt are juz the same size>>they are wearing fake butt...can upload video of inang capai?haven't seen that dance be4

  • i love the music...used to hear that music in a mas aircraft flying to foreign destination

  • I first introduced to malay traditional dance in 2005, and I learned inang ghenek too. before that, i only dance to contemporary. since then i fell in love with malay traditional dance. I'd seen so many versions of inang ghenek and til now still not sure which one is original.

  • Hey Pinkyangel...

I just saw the video by Abang Fadhli and yup, it's confirmed that there is no 'butt shaking' hehehe... just like in the vid u uploaded here. It's the fundamental steps in Inang Renek. I guess if there is butt shaking, it would be much easier coz there's no need for control at all.

These asli dances are really all about focus, control and concentration! Amazing. Just Amazing!

  • abg fadhli? U mean..the dance instructor for University Malaya? He's great! Used to be my zapin's instructor 10 years++ ago. hahahhaa..I was so young, he won't remember me.

U have the video? please give me the link.

What you're saying is correct. Dancing..especially malay (pure) traditional dance needs a lot of focus and control. It's consider rude if you didn't control your movement because inang is used to be a dance just for the sultan

  • baby ... papa love that dance ,, yehaaaaaaa

  • sexy dowh

  • inang renek...also known as inang ngesot...

  • Actually Inang Kesot (the correct name) is different from Innag Renek, Both were found and brought to the stage by Kedah. Inang Kesot was shown in FTK98 (they won overall champion)and in FTK99, Inang Renel was introduced. The steps are different.

  • thanks for the comment. Fudging81, i have no experience learning this dance but I know it's hard and some of my friend had some blisters on their toes. About the 'butt shaking' I'm not sure about it.Please give me the video link for this original dance if you have it.

  • The original version is finally uploaded on Youtube by abgfadli. Try search Inang Renek - Kedah Dance

  • I totally agree with fifth77 that you all should see the original version of Inang Renek by Badan Kesenian Negeri Kedah. So mesmerizing! But one minor correction is that during FTK99, Inang Renek was awarded with Best Traditional Costume and Best Traditional Music Arrangement. The Best Traditional Performance went to Perak with Inang Senoi.

  • shud see the original form of Inang Renek by Badan Kesenian Negeri Kedah to see the original version or if someone could upload the video of the original Inang Renek which was performed at Istana Budaya in '99 *if not mistaken* during Festival Tari Kebangsaan where they emerged champion for the Rampaian Asli category.

  • hidup malaya

  • renek means short or something like that. So the dancers are mostly on the floor or their knees are bent. really tough dance to do, had blisters on my toes when i learnt it. but am confused, i was taught that the butt should not shake and it should be controlled...?

  • I love this dance. Its so demurely Hot & Sexy
