the f22 could beat the SU 37 hands down, stealth is greater than speed capability, even though the f22 isnt designed for dogfights it can still lock on its target from over 100 miles away via its advanced radar systems and take a shot from there. its more like a hit and run aircraft, but that doesnt make it a coward, its believed to be the most advanced aircraft today in the modern world. the only fallback is its hefty $137 milion price tag. i'm liking that aerodymanic drag!

There's a vid of a Lockheed pilot piloting an F-16. Lets just say they want to sell the plane when they fly. And the F-22 has superior radar systems to the Su-37. So you still have not yet explained how the Su-37 will "see" the F-22 first. BVR (Beyond visual range) first shot is everything in modern air combat.

I agree - but only in specific and IMHO mostly unusual situations. An F-104 can take on an F-15 in the right setup. But in a real-world scenario situation, warplanes with significantly better BVR capability should prove to be very difficult to deal with, regardless of the incredible skill another pilot may have. Unless detection capability increases in a large way, IMHO, dogfights will be an increasingly unlikely situation, especially in the case of the F22.

Good plane but not more manouverable than a Typhoon. Typhoon can pull of tighter turns because of its lighter weight. Heavier F22 means you haev to make wider turns than even planes like Rafales.
It's not about tight turns and snap maneuvers so much as it is controlling air space- something in which the F-22 is without equal and utterly dominating.

All very nice planes, but incorrect... apparently you have not seen the vid where the Raptor pulls 180 degree turn WITHIN its own length...pretty hard to pull shorter diameter turn than that, regardless of weight...maybe the X-31.
What people should be debating is if a su-37 could kill an f-15.
