  • offer nissim revived this song :)

  • im seeing these guys at Bi Bis restaurant in Leeds tomorrow night for our xmas party!! cant wait - happy memories!!

  • new editions dad

  • These guys were great.....start to finish,,,,REAL CLASSIC Philly soul: The Falsetto,

the horns the strings. This wasn't their best but everything they did was GREAT!

from stop look & listen to this disco stuff they recorded at the end of their chart run-check out their version of the old Elvis classic Cant help fallin in love,

. let's put it all together, You are beautiful,

LOVE IT TO DEATH. Back when I was a DJ, this was one of the groups that-no matter what the song was-I would throw it on!

  • Its seems ppl still don't get it...they laugh at their hair, they say this is old the concept and music..but I am telling you all this..you will NEVER EVER be able to go back to when music was heartfelt, original, inventive and new! So what that's how there hair looked or if the video was low budget...its good music ppl..if it was a david axelrod garage demo you'd cut your arm off to get it downloaded somewhere-you ppl are the worst...and you deserve the world and music you live in and listen to

  • I can give u everything but my love. Be my concubine ;)

  • Good for you. Am very happy to hear that. Friends of mine try to convince me that a relationship doesn't work without money. I refuse to believe that. If I am not good enough for a woman as a person, than money won't make it better. Some say: "Money makes sexy". I think that is delusional.

  • 8 people prefer modern day crap

  • "I can't give you anything"... I know how that feels.

  • @tubumu I chose this as our wedding song. Had it played right after the wife signed up. Still blissfully married after nearly 4 years.lol.

  • @noeldc

    I do lol

  • IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII CAN GIVE YOU GATSBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY................

    GATSBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY................

    GATSBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY................

  • @BBBDaman556FinalForm

Hehe. I bet most people have no idea what you are referring to, though.

  • That's not by any chance Don King doing lead vocals ????

  • i like this song

  • No one ever can replaced their voice, replaced their way of singing this song. I first time heard this song 1978, at Japan airport one of the AV shop, I was waiting for my transfer flight to Halulu. I still remember that moment.

  • when this was n01 i was abroad in wales lol. wish iwas 14 again!!!!!

  • ... i grew up with this song in Lima Perú ... and now i live near where this was filmed, on the Upper West Side in Manhattan! sooooo cool! :)

  • life was so fab and simple...........love this song

  • cant make 70's music today, otherwise, we would call it 00's music which is as we know, crap

  • This is our wedding song.Gets us crying everytime.Music doesn't get any better than this.

  • wow love this song

  • Herman Munster eat yer Heart out, Obviously done before they made it..Always liked there music though, superb singers,Harmonies were superb.

  • Herman Munster Eat yer Heart Out...lol.Obviously before they made it..??

  • what the fuck...is this dubed......

  • @DARKnDODGY first ,it would be dubbed, second this was made way before the MTV era, and third, if you knew anything they (and most acts of this era) can do anything they recorded in a studio live and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference(unlike what passes for talent today)

  • @dirtyedna ...then why dub it....

  • 1000 STARS BUDS

  • i was going threw my favs fucking gold

  • music today isnt a patch on this kind of music, mint times

  • Wow, could've sworn there was a live orchestra playing! (Unless they're hiding in the lead singer's hair)

  • Can anyone tell me the line-up here? There seems to be a couple on the end who are younger than the others.

  • 超喜歡

  • Ridiculous hair. Ridiculous sentiments. Yet somehow... it hangs together... or am I just OLD ?

  • Ha ha, says the histrionic unsophistiocated dweeb who has Laura Branigan in their favourites.

    Jesus.

  • @TheBitterWeed i favourited it to show my cousin the that its the original versio of Jay-Z & Mr Hudson. I randomly found it, never heard of her in my life lol

  • @TheBitterWeed I misunderstood this comment, what you said actually made a lot of sense. sorry

  • No worries ! I liked this track since I was ten !

    ;-)

  • Hmmm Great tune! I remember these days, they were the best! This music will liove forever not like the crap today! Even the people were so much friendlier then, everyone got along no matter what race or color, what happened??? Everyone would dance together pary hearty and had lots of fun...Those were the days my freinds! Peace!

  • great song how have you been? the one I wanted to have in my life is not in my life anymore. i am the one that is not free but not much longer april. difficult to always wonder what the other one is doing when you cannot be there I could not deal with the wondering

  • @littledebbie2195

What happened? April is just around the corner.. plz have hope and faith that things will be OK.. If he loves you he will wait for you endlessly..I know I am there as well.. I am here if you need me my friend!

  • that is some hardcore falsetto

  • @bboymango These days if anyone sounds like they are sitting on a cat, they're praised for their falsetto. The 70s were the true decade for actually doing this the right way.

  • all time fav

  • Who could forget this promo film (aka video) that wonderful late summer of 75? Along with 10cc, Johnny Nash (Tears on my Pillow) and Rod Stewart (Sailing) and the Bay City Rollers...(damn...)

  • Man, I can see the souls out there on the dancefloor cutting a rug! The disco era was a wonderful time for this nation! Man, I wish I had been born during that time;(

  • cant give me anything but nice memories

  • can somebody tell me please from which lp this song is??thx =D

  • lol HINKLEY81 One day you will be going on about todays music. And someone will be there to call it shit....

  • Brings back high school memories...

  • my fav number 1 song of 75 at my holidays at Rhyl.

  • I love 70's

  • We should make 70s music today.

  • It would probably be sung by nowadays hip hop artists and it would stink. They would add some sort repetitive bass beat and make your innards explode and overly autotuned vocals.

  • @mrarches LOL yes!

  • only good music came out from 70s

  • Only one as young a You were in the 70's could feel so sentimental about that time, yes there were good thiongs about the 70's but therewas a lot of shit too, as My dad used to tell my late grandma when she got nostalic for "the good old days", my good old days are now, poverty is over rated.

  • Love the 70ties. Seems, everything wasn't so perfect. look at these faces. the teeths, the hair. everything. love this RAW style. not so overbrushed like today! AND: cool song, nice melody :-)

  • damn this takes me back 1973 was 3 lol :)

  • You were 3 in 1973 but this was from 1975?? you a time traveller?

  • yes im a time traveller

    i come from 2090

  • The clothing was the height of 'cool' (or groovy) in 1975. Now it screams gay. LOL. Great vid.

  • Saw this on Top of the Pops about the time it was a hit in UK. ONly saw it once but for some reason it stuck in my head over the past 30-odd years. So thanks tons.

  • Yeah!!!! The joys of makeshift 1970's videos!!!!

  • That is everything a girl doesn't want to hear. lol

  • love the 2 brothers in the back who didnt get the memo to wear brown leather

  • jetleeming, stop being racist/stereotypical

and learn to enjoy REAL songs (not like the new age crap)

  • right on bro, too much shit these days,

  • stylistics didnt need autotune like some ppl today

  • epic fro

  • I saw these talented magical fantastic guys at The Fox theatre in downtown Detroit in the Fall of 1992. I was the only white guy there on a (period) motorcycle. The rest of the audience were dressed like immaculate motowners. I also saw them later that year or early 1993 at The Wembley Conference Centre, London. They are timeless and classic. I just wish I could return to that halcyon era, say mid '70s to mid '80s and stay there - indefinitely. Great music, the landscape looked better too......

  • THIS SONG WAS WRITEN BY TWO GUYS IN THE UK AND IT WAS ONLY PLAYED OVER THERE.i PLAYED BASS FOR THE STYLISTICS AND WE ONLY PLAYED THIS SONG AND ONE OTHER ONE THAT WAS WRITEN OVER THERE WHEN THE GROUP TRAVELED TO EUROPE.

  • Cool story, bro. Please keep that bullshit for yourself.

  • never heard of this one but i like it alot.

  • i would love to listen to remix version. lol

  • lol, who else is here because they used this song in the Gatsby commercial?

  • lol me

  • Classy

  • One of 'em got dressed in the dark. Brilliant though.

  • I was begining to think that opening tracking shot was never going to end! I was getting quite anxious actually!

  • Notice how it was so leisurely panning, and suddenly it speed up to catching the opening phrase. :P

  • Totally. The camera man was lucky he didn't fly straight pasted the band and end up back where he started!

  • lol i thought the same thing

  • That's so retro and vintage, I just love it, I would have liked to experience the life in the 70's and the 80's....:-)

  • i just heard an hip hop sample with this..anyone know the song?

  • Same here, I totally forgot what song it was, haha.

  • you can remember? i search it for a long time.

  • OH Snap!! look at his afro in the wind LOL!! It dont get any more old school than this lol

  • they look cool as fuck man

  • I love it, good memoris....

  • i think somone's had a van load of leather jackets away"

  • Why wasn't this a big hit in the US? It only got to #51 here.

  • hey that's not the real stylistics, it's tyrone, eddie, leroy, melvin and larry from the old neighborhood!!

  • Great record, and I think the video was the inspiration for Michael Jackson's "Thriller".

  • one more i like 2 add is that old skool blacks are not the hiphoppers fucking around with the gangbang crap and shit like that. they are more innocent and normal like us. they also never attempt 2 try 2 hard 2 show some attitude. that is why i love old blacks musician records more than new blacks hip hop records that we are forced 2 swallow the crap. lolz!

  • im totally agree with u!

  • lolz it seems like a lot of men sings like women in the 70s damm

  • Only ONE sings like woman. The group is AEWSOME untill nowadays: Airrion LOVE AND HERB MURRELL ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MASCULINE VOICES OF THE MUSICAL WORLD!!!

    KIsses from Brazil.

    Brilliant

  • Despite thier appearance, one of these dudes have more talents in thier pinky than you will ever have.

  • Lol when i heard this for the first time, I thought that there was at least a woman singing... seems like i was wrong =D this song rox!

  • you had to be there guys. peace and love

  • When I was 9 years old !!!!!!!!!!!!

    what a memorie.

Thanks for bing me back to these days!!!!!!!

  • I became very sad because in a lot of songs we cannot hear the wonderful voices of Airrion Love and Herb Murrel, only falsetto. It is a pity. All voices are beautiful and all members MUST SING TOO.

    Kiss

  • My fav was James Dunn, the suttle voice in the background! Wasnt the same when he left in 1980.

  • INCREDIBLE THIS VIDEO, congratulations!!! This is The Stylistics in the begin, Airrion Love was a teenager yet GREAT!

  • Shut your Eye's, and sit back in your chair.

    WOW!!!

    Say no more,

    Classic.

  • No vocals till 00:35, but it's well worth the wait!

Russell Thompkins Jrs' voice is like silk, the lyrics are great and the backing music goes together with the vocals like strawberrys and cream.

You can't help but tap your feet to it.

Some people slag the Seventies off, but the music was so dam good.

  • mr dees on sunday night

  • The Stylistics are a great soul group in the seventies.

My favourite has to be Can't Give You Anything, But My Love.

What a gifted brotherly soul group.

  • Fanbloodytastic music to swing your pants too,

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaa. it does`nt get much better than this.

  • the badest song of all time. the ultimate hustle song such great vocals and well but together. thanks for the post

  • They look like the Cosby Kids! Ahh, the 70s! LOL!!

  • This guy looks just like Chris Moyles

  • Chris Moyles is a talentless fat twat! And I ain't laughing out loud.

  • Hey, sorry mate. Yes Moyles is a total tosser in my opinion, I just thought the physical resemblance was funny

  • I totally agree chris moyles is a worthless piece of shit and not fit to be mentioned in the same breath as the Stylistics.

  • but don't you feel that Moylesism serves to contrast and therefore justifiably aggrandize anything with which it is or has been juxtaposed?

  • gatsby sellout

  • fab song , fab group .

remember this clip/video on TOPS in England in the 70s , what was a golden era for soul , dance disco music from across the pond .
