  • He just makes my afternoon love him or loathe him he is one of the best DJs ever.

  • i love this

  • Hello everyone!

I'm a french student and I have to record a little radio emission. Do you know where I can download this sound? =)

  • @nytoto72 Simply type in 'youtube to mp3' on google and then just follow the instructions :)

  • This theme, along with his speech intro, makes me feel... British.

  • @brucefwaaa I'm French (and not really proud of it actually^^). This sound gives to me a real wish to become Brit^^

  • Its steve wright theme and the news theme at the end

  • This is BBC Radio 2 online, on digital and on 88-91FM.

  • @cardiffcity122 ooooo u wannabe dj you :o)

  • There are a couple food names on Radio 2... Fenella Fudge, Andrew Peach, Ricky Salmon...

    O.o

  • i would very much like to find the chords from 0:30 to end

sad i know but i think it rocks :D

  • @Veraad - that's the actual news jingle and can be heard every hour on the hour on BBC Radio 2. The first 25 seconds is indeed the Steve Wright Theme. It was composed by Anthony James and can be found by searching YT for The Making of Steve Wright's Theme.

  • Radio 2 could do with a NEW news bed/jingle. It's at least 12 years old now, it was there when Johnnie Walker joined in April 1998.

  • I believe it's used on Wright's show as 'filler' because most of his show is pre-record.

  • Thats her real name. She used to be called Haddingham...

  • @craig7653 there is this thing called a marriage......meaning that the woman can change from her maiden name to the name of her husband........this is evidentially what has happend

  • Does anyone else think the news reader is for real.......?

Whats her name? Vanilla Fudge? WTF!

  • Fannella Fudge ;)

  • Thats steve wrights theme, not the news!

  • But he talks over the begining and end and hardly ever tells you what he has played . And whats with the sycophant posse ? He needs replacing .

  • leave steve wright ALONE hes cool

  • Vanella Fudge? Sounds familiar.....

  • LOL

  • is steve wright a twat, answers on a postcard please,

  • No, he's not a right twat. Run out of postcards so here's a YouTube reply instead.

  • No he's not.

  • Why does Steve Wright always talk over the records. He's a rubbish DJ and I don't get the old woman bit. Cos he's getting on himself. As for the E-mails ya have to put what a Wonderful Fantastic show it is to get read out. I wish he would get replaced cos I have to suffer him every afternoon at work thanks to the Boss .

  • hi steve love the show . lick ass lick lick ......feel sorry for you blueray

  • by the way he ain't a rubbish dj talking over the music actually makes it a very proffesional way of presenting and it is his style of presenting. Ok it maybe a bit tedious at times but he is still a good presenter.

  • Like most other professional DJ's he speaks over records so people can't record all of them without the speak-overs. It was done to encourage people to buy the records rather than keep taping them. I know if I were a radio DJ I would speak over the music, but not so much it ruins people's enjoyment of it.

  • This work is written by a composer called Anthony James and there is a new version and a video of the making of it. I just saw it yesterday, search for "The Making of Steve Wright's main theme"

  • This I'snt The News Theme, Its Actually The Steve Wright Theme.

  • @jacktheman27 follwed by the news theme...

  • @RubyEmerald Yes, but where in the title does it say Steve wright? :-)

  • @jacktheman27 wha..?

it doesn't.. but my point was yes it's the steve wright theme >followed< by the news theme. i do get your point though

  • Fenella Fudge. I mean c'mon. That's a Monty Python name if ever there was one.

  • Thank You! Finally someone agrees with me! Its the equivelent to saying 'BBC News at 4 O'Clock, this is Strawberry Cheesecake, would you like some?' :L:L:L

  • she has a sister you know, Incontinentia Buttocks!!

  • @retroreds Yuh.

  • @retroreds

    More Benny Hill, probably.

  • @retroreds Humours but it's not a stage name, I believe her husband is Gordon Fudge who also works for the BBC.

  • talentless prick

  • i change to radio 5 at 2 pm ...

  • Why, you'll miss the Big Show if you do that.

  • awesome music

  • he talks over his songs to stop people recorder them and selling them dick head. He laughs to make people feel happy, and the round of applause is to epmphisise

  • Does Anyone Know What This Themes Called! I GOTTA DOWNLOAD IT!

  • Love this music, it's much better than radio 1's news.

  • Not Bad

  • The first part is just Steve Wright's show theme tune, which is only used by him. The second part is the BBC Radio 2 news jingle... I have the full clean copy without voiceovers if anyone wants it hehe

  • I'll take you up on that offer!

  • same as Mike =)

  • Hey! Is it true? I want it please!

  • I meant the BBC Radio 2 news theme...not Steve Wright's theme...

  • ok then

  • i like this theme =)

always puts a smile on my face =D

  • It's from the BBC and you.

  • The BBC can't complain about this, because we know who it is from.

  • Who is it actually from?
