I couldn't grow much facial hair when I was 18 also. I had like a few whiskers where a stache should be and some pubes coming out from my chin lol.

Shaving daily to get hair to grow in thicker actually isn't true. So I hear. It seems thicker and more coarse b/c a razor cuts the hair across.

Save your money from razors for now, and just buzz it off with a mechanical until it comes in full. Thats what I did.

Or you can buy a $20 dollar trimmer which comes with several attachments...even the one to make lines which have black borders and silver shaving area for guiding. Plus you are not suppose to shave against the grain...like upwards when your hair is growing downwards. Its not rough, you are just going against your grain...it will give you acne and make your skin bumpy in long run.

About the shaving. I've heard mixed opinions. Shave against for a smooth shave, and shave sideways only to protect your follicles. It's a pain getting the truth. Thanks for the comment, I'll research a bit more. The last thing I want is bumpy skin, hehe

Dude, 1 thing is strictly off limits to the beard is shaving your upper cheeks! Your shaving all the way upto just below your eyes! I have hair there, but I remove it using a traditional Middle Eastern way, with a thread. then I shave my beard.
