I would want to see it if they had REAL MUSIC FIT FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS! Think of something like the Fiddler on the Roof. It had great music for a great time. This is... crappy looking.
My MAIN question is that somebody had to back Lenin with money since he could not do it by himself on a journalist's pay. My question was WHO financed him and WHY? Lenin had high ideals and good hopes but what did he have to do in order to get all this financial aid? And how did Stalin get involved? Lenin impressed me as being extremely well-educated, sophisticated, and brilliant! Why STALIN?
I can't answer to who financed Lenin as I'm not quite sure myself, I believe Germany might have given him some financial support, but this is just a guess.
However, Lenin did NOT back Stalin, he actually warned the Soviet government not to give power to Stalin and wanted Trotsky to become the new leader. You can read more with some more from google and wikipedia.
Stalin was just a Bolshevik who gained an inordinate amount of power. Lenin was wary of him and tried to warn the others, but he was mostly out of commission by then and it was too late.
The lives of the common people under the Tsars was MISERABLE. Same as slavery. THAT I understand.Their Church taught the people that the Tsars and Royalty were gods too. So THAT kind of religion had to go. Too many people in too much misery oppressed by one small, out of touch ruling class. It had to be stopped. Enter Lenin.
I think those who supported the Revolution would agree with you joeocho88. However the white army had no such problems and were happy to kill whoever was convenient where as the red army killed who was necessary (at times still making mistakes). The order of execution of the Tsar and his family was an emergency order issued by a lower ranking Bolshevik without proper discussion with those making the revolution.
Also it is worth remembering that the Tsar was responsible for many unnecessary deaths by bringing Russia into World War One. The amount of families missing their husbands and sons from that war would have been far into the millions.
Moreover, during wars, especially civil wars, regrettable but sometimes necessary actions are taken. Leaving behind the Royal family's children would probably have left the White's an heir and a symbol to rally around. If the White's had recaptured the Romanov's (they nearly did but were too late) this would have strengthened their movement and helped them regain power to massacre more people and restore their reactionary and oppressive system.
Like most of the things in this movie are incorrect. The bolshevik revolution was not ridding russia from the Tsar, but from the bourgeois goverment. At the time the Tsar got layd off, Lenin was not even in Russia. Then Flags with depicions of lenin like that would have been verry rare, if they existed at all...
It surprises me that it gives such a positive image of the revolution dogh - for a capitalist commercial...
This would have made an awesome musical or a parody of something

I believe Mick Collins, an Irish Revolutionary might have helped finance him, but not enough for the revolution. Lenin was a good man, Stalin wasn't.

What? You mean Michael Collins? I believe he had problems of his own dealing with the irish independence.

I don't think Lenin cared about Trotsky at all.

Это точно так же несмешно, как если бы сделали комедийно-музыкальный отрывок о холокосте. Идиоты, задрали уже эксплуатировать тему советщины.
