Personally, I think football(soccer) and rugby are both awesome sports. Rugby is more physically demanding and you do face really hard tackles, it is a bloody sport and I have much respect for it. Football requires more skill than rugby, it is way harder to score, and a little more technical than rugby. They are both tough sports, rugby is more physically tougher and football requires more skill. I like both but I play football.

Personally, I think football(soccer) and rugby are both awesome sports. Rugby is more physically demanding and you do face really hard tackles, it is a bloody sport and I have much respect for it. Football requires more skill than rugby, it is way harder to score, and a little more technical than rugby. They are both tough sports, rugby is more physically tougher and football requires more skill. I like both but I play football.

@hayhowwho It is clear you've never played football. If you think it is just kicking the ball you are completely wrong, I played both and they are both hard in their own way just as any other sport. In Rugby, there are higher scores because it is easier to score in rugby than in football. In football, you have a relatively small net with defenders and a goalkeeper in the way.

@americamufcfan7 actualy its the truth, i played at a club level, i found it easy maybe because i'm a good sportsman, i scored those 27 goals legit, and i always felt all i had to do in strike was drible it, keep on side, make a tackle atempt and use my power shot, i may just be a bit bias through the time since i played and my true love for rugby which in current poll is said to be more popular

@americamufcfan7 , yes as it says i did do it whilst injured from rugby i had done damage to bones in my hand so i could not pass and had a shoulder injury so couldnt tackle so when i was talking to the doctor he said i should keep my speed so he told me to play football so i did, first season when i was injured and started the second season but then rugby took leed so i stayed with rugby

@americamufcfan7 with a shoulder injury you cant tackle in rugby but it didnt make an effect on me running, i got through in trials as i could still shoot, the 27 goals was in 18 games, i never said i had no experience i had already tried football and was ok at it but never took it further from first base

In football, defenders can shoulder charge you, it is legal, not to mention it is just not running, you need your shoulders in soccer and doctors tell you to rest while having an injury not play a different sport. In rugby, after losing a final, the losing team accepts it graciously and displays good sportsmanship. And rugby fans arent passionate?? Fans from Munster rugby are the most passionate fans in my opinion. On top of that, They're respectful. They give a warm welcome when the opposition comes in to the pitch and give complete silence when the kicker wants to take a kick.

And when they sing fields of athenry, u notice how passionate the fans are by their singing. So loud and they sing as if their from a choir. Even after a loss, yes u can see dissapointment in their faces, but they dont leave and empty the whole stadium. Instead when the opposition is about to leave,they give a standing ovation

I play Rugby and it's way better than fuckball! Play continue even after the ball carrier has been tackled. Scrum and line outs are fucking beastly and take tons of skill to get it right! Soccer you just kick a ball and fake injuries to get a damn free kick. In Rugby getting a free kick is getting tackled out of bounds! and football is just a puss sport! playing with fucking helmets and pads thinking that you a bad ass. Rugby???..A game where it seems the objective is to kick the ball 50 yards downfield to an opponent who promptly kicks it back and then when the crowd ( the few that actually bother to watch club rugger) start getting neck ache someone kicks it into touch so that their opponent can throw it back in so their guy can kick it 50 yards downfield.....

Rugby is dull..the blitz and drift defences have basically reduced the game to lumping it up and down the field in the hope that territory can be gained by a mistake..usually a knock on..
Rugger has now got bigger,stronger athletes who can hardly string three passes together..No skill in the game at all.. I had a season ticket for years at the Newcastle Falcons but the the rules have made the game robotic and the "jolly hockey sticks" mentality of the crowd ..how can a defeat not hurt?

@kebablips + wingers in rugby don't only get trained by speed and condition, but also by strength, agility, and other stuff for rugby, like cleaning rucks, and stuff, Football players get trained by speed condition and ball controll and stuff, so that's a whole difference, Rugby wingers and soccer players are MUCH difference, you can see that by looking at their body's :)

@kebablips try watching some rugby sevens vids and then tell me u need no skill to play rugby. and besides that skill is more then just some cheeky tricks with a ball. playing a game with a complete team takes way more skill then shooting a ball 80m forwards and then wait till one single player finishes the goal. dont get me wrong i like playing soccer with my friends but thats only cause theyre to scared to play rugby ..
