can't wait for the new movie to come out next month. back in the day when sg-1 first came out i watched every episode but in season two i stopped because of other engagements. last episode i think i watched was where Apophis "dies" and Sokar gets him. now that the movies are coming out i have to catch up. i went through seasons 1-6 in i think two weeks, maybe three (i was sick). now i just need seasons 7-10 on dvd to get caught up for the movies.

You're right, it wasn't the same without him. SG-1 went downhill after, I still liked the series from 8 on, but it got dull and the humour faded.

McKay is the new O'Neill? Hardly. I think Sheppard[sp?] is supposed to be. And for what it's worth, I think that Ben Browder did a good job stepping in and that Michael Shanks did an amazing job of stepping up to fill the void that RDA left behind.

I wasn't saying that McKay's character replaced O'Neill, I just mean that in terms of comedic value, McKay is hilarious and fills the void that was often missing from episodes of SG-1 as O'Neill was slowly written out.

I liked the Ori arch of SG-1, it was right up there with the rest of the show, with great graphics as well. But recently I've been watching the first seasons, and there's something about RDA that made the new seasons seem duller, except for McKay, because he's awesome.

Yep. The 1st one is called Stargate:The Ark of Truth and is due out in April 2008. It's going to be the conclusion of the Ori arc. The 2nd one is called Stargate:Continuum and that's due out in May 2008. If there's going to be any more movies after that, then they're going to be based on the movie and not the TV show.
