Do you have to have the GPS cradle to use this feature or is it another program that can be installed that it will work witout the cradle?

Cowon GPS Craddle is only sell in USA, with NavMate Software and North America Map.
Sygic Drive 7.5 is another software with european map, that works with Cowon US Craddle.
Of course you can use another USB or Bluetooth GPS receptors with this soft :
* Wayfinder (pairing code 0000)
* RoverMate Navisat
* Bluetooth GlobalSat BT-338.
