why can't they find more artists like her? Someone who can just stand there and sing and doesn't need fancy light shows or trashy costumes to get peoples attention!

Married at 13 and 5 kids....wow! Back when wedding vows were taking seriously, parents took care of their kids, and people who were "stars" could actually carry a tune!
I'm singing Coal Miner's Daughter for the talent show this year! Love the coal miner's daughter, and this song rocks, or, should I say, is TRUE COUNTRY!
@silverexplosion ... AMEN TO THAT ! this country started to REALLY suck back in 1973 during the first oil embargo and those sons-of-bitches A-RABS have been stickin' it to us ever since... we haven't have the same standard of living ever since.. oh, we came close in the 80s and early 90s, but nothing like what we had in the 50s and 60s and early 70s..
She's fantastic! So full of spunk. from the little I've read about her and considering the fact that she had songs banned from the radio because of their blasphemous topics, like using birth control, pointing out sadness caused by Vietnam War (Oh My!) she's definitely on my favorites list.
I definitely think it's worth a try. Of course, there are no guarantees. Alot of it would depend on the willingness of the venue manager. But what's to lose in trying, right. If I were you, the next time I had a chance to get to a show...I'd write a letter to the manager of the location she was playing. If you'd like, I have several autographed photos of Loretta. Would you like for me to send them to you via email? Her latest photo is beautiful. If so, send me your email and I'd send you copies.
I love this woman I am one of them many people who actually knows wat music isand she is 1 of the many that can say that they r true country singers! I am 17 yrs old and i have been listening to this woman since b4 i could walk my mom got me into her when she bought the movie i watched it when i was 7 n i was amazed since then i have been hooked on 2 this woman i am a HUGE FAN and i will never stop i love her music and her Loretta has inspired me in many ways it is impossible to name them all!
@pccsoccer30 I'll give ya a little hint on how you just might be able to meet Loretta. We've been friends for almost 45 years. Loretta is a wonderful and loving lady who has never changed from the day I first met her. When she's close enough for me to travel to see her, I usually just get in touch with the theater manager a month or so in advance and ask if he would be willing to ask if she's up for any visitors.
@robyfox2 OMG! Could u really ask if i could meet her? I would have loved to haev none loretta that long, well i wouldnt have been a live but anyways I live in hazard Ky, do u think i would be able to see her?
I want every fan of Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and all the other manufactured, mainstream, pop "country" artists of today to watch this and other Loretta videos, and take notes on what REAL country music is.
I saw Loretta Lynn at the Lynden fair in Washington state in the 90's. She was amazing. I grew up with 70's style country music including Merle Hagard, Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, Charlie Pride, Tanya Tucker, and many more.
A great song by Loretta from 1971. This was Loretta's last year on the Wilburn Brothers Show when she parted with them. Loretta went onto become the BIGGEST female country artist of the 1970's being named the "Artist Of The Decade" in 1979 by the Acedemy Of Country Music. The first & only woman to ever win this award.
I love Loretta lynn!!!!
