  • That means PeoTV is a threat to Net Neutrality..?! I would rather prefer YouTube + MegaVideo over IPTV :-)

  • I have done my part

  • @airforcemax in what way, buddy?

  • Net neutrality would ALLOW the corporations and gov't to take over the internet so it's a BAD THING -- you have it backward!!!!

  • @NHTPC please explain. i dont understand how come?

  • Vote for 'None of The Above for a New Election' on all ballot papers. You vote off candidates you dont want until you get the one you do. It will work. There is more of Us casting our votes than Them. NOTAFANE is already in Law in Massachussetts. See my 'Favourites' for explanations and other clips about our Poligarch Society which is not Democracy. A Consensual Dictatorship is another description. Disagree? You definately should see my Fav's to become aware of the Reality pulled over your eyes.

  • Ahhhhh this sucks so much ass!!! I believe that people should boycott any company that stops using net neutrality. Anyone with any business sense who is the head of an ISP will then see that if he/she allows for net neutrality then they will get a crap load more customers and those who tried to control the internet will be left destitute. (All their investment in either congress w/ bribes or on the cost to control the corrupt infrastructure they set up by stop hackers form breaking it).

  • Woo Porno!

  • if they take the internet from us its just guting the averagre people of their basic rights. I think that all people who want to take internet neutrality are just trying to make every thing unfair for the little guy who has to do all the work and make it better for them selfs.

  • i hate living now days...we are at the foot of the beast!!!

  • i hate living now days...we are at the foot of the beast!!!

  • is this only for the US or is it world wide?

  • well...as lots of phenomenons tend to start...this as well..starts with the U.S.

but the internet is something global..hence, the influence could be totally on all of us.

its up for the ppl in the U.S, to show resistance..using virtual support from the rest of the wold.

  • The internet mainstream culture is mainly based on American sites, so is the American internet censored, it will impact us all. Kind of the same way we aren't able to communicate with Chinese, living in China, on how content they are with the conditions there.

  • chin up folks. We may be up against the evil telecoms, but we do have some powerful allies... besides Moby who you saw in the video. Both Microsoft and Google support net neutrality. I think we all know that they could buy every member of congress 3 times over.

  • If this gets passed, it means the end of the Internet and Free Speech as we know it. With this enacted, it means the end of blogs, social networking, and maybe even YouTube. We will just be seeing what the government wants to, and they may even be able to restrict access for whoever they don't want to be on.

My proposal: Just have the government give free Internet to all citizens, and maybe charge us a little more on taxes. It wouldn't take much. Let the people run the Internet!!

  • thanks for uploading, man!

    This is so important!

    Spread awareness!!

  • There are so many things wrong with this I don't know where to begin.

Ah, here we go. IF YOUR ISP IS FILTERING YOUR CONTENT, STOP USING THEM AND MAKE ANOTHER ONE. IF THERE ISN'T ANOTHER ONE, GO TO SCHOOL, WORK YOUR ASS OFF, COME UP WITH A BUISINESS PLAN, AND MAKE YOUR OWN ISP THAT DOESN'T FILTER ANYTHING. Don't think for a minute that somehow you have a right to all the stuff somebody else has made, and you have a "right" to tell them what to do with it.

  • He's wrong, that's what I say now.

And the internet is NOT "for the people." Only the people from the richest nations can afford it, and only then if they pay their bills on time. So much for that.

  • Right, because everyone can go out and dig down caples in the whole country. I dunno how it works in the US, but where I live, the biggest companies own the copper, hence have the ability to say who they will and will not rent it to. Considering these companies have as big a monopoly as they do, they also have a responsibility to keep what was intially thought of as a way to share thoughts and opinions as exactly that. And you cannot do that on a censored web.

  • thank you for uploading man!

this issue needs to be discussed more!

i cant belive most of us still surf round the web and we dont know this danger is flying above our heads...

  • Want to know why they want to do this? Cause they think we are stupid, Why do you think the electoral college was made? to prevent the "stupid" farmer from directly electing our leader. Same with the radio and newspaper,to prevent some "stupid" teenager from haveing his own blog (newspaper or talkshow style). If they do this they will find out that teenagers are actually smarter than them when it comes to computers and internet...

  • Right On dude!

I agree, thats the pattern. make frames around the medium so that nothing outside of the mainstream will be heard...

I do find alot of people, bloggers or such, that have a very strong opinion and insights that are worth listening to....

All the mediums outside the internet, just kills them.

  • If this was just corporate America against us, we would be screwed. But a lot of internet corps, like youtube to name an obvious one, depend on "net neutrality," and are sure ot put up a fight. The internet culture is such that it would be economic suicide to follow trough on this, even though it is abundantly clear that they want to, and political suicide for politicians to allow it.

  • thanx for the reply...

i really hope that what youre saying there is true.

this medium should be nothing But democratic.

i really hope it stays this way...

otherwise, maybe i couldve never find u guys :]

get that CD going already!! :]

  • Wow. This has some pretty frightening prospects.

  • i know!

the problem is in the U.S right now, so ppl who can turn to their candidates should show them were against this.

still AT&T and other shitheads are trying to make it their way...who knows how Youtube could turn to after something like that?!

  • Hackers... hackers can find a way in a worst case scenario :)

  • yeah, but not every person is a hacker and has the knowledge to hack.

moreover, i think that it will be impossible to "hack" as there will be 2 New seperated Pipes of communication...[like 2 seperate wires] so it will be impossible....

  • Please hack T.V. then.

  • which kinda? cable or satilite? XP

  • guys...id like to know if this affected anyone, if its new to you, and what do you feel bout it all..

    leave a comment.. :]

  • Very interesting. I don't this will happened though. I mean newspapers and radio had never been such a powerful tool as the internet.

In Israel I herd a few years back on the news that the internet providers will charge money by the amount you download...

  • ...If it had been implemented it would have killed all the heavy downloaders and would change the internet to only reading emails, news reports and your bank account.

    It never happened
