You should NEVER turn on a battery powered device without chaging it first. That's the best way to get the shortest possible battery life. What you should do next time is charge it fully, unplug it, run the battery down, top it off again, and then you are ready to use it.

How do you know it's FULLY charged? Most things aren't. Personally, I wouldn't trust them, and I'd charge it anyways to prolong the battery life even more.

It would be worth getting the MacBook Pro if you didnt like the 13 Inch screen, I'd definetly go with a MacBook pro or even one of Apple's Desktop systems for a cheaper and more powerful solution.

got one and it is amazing. I've always used windows and never really used a mac.I would highl recommend a macbook if you even doing the basics (msn, mail, internet, music etc). Macbook boots in about 15-20 seconds for me. LOVE IT!!

Take the MacBook, it's as fast as the MBP, but it's a lot smaller and easier to transport. The MBP gets also a lot hotter than the MB, and when you're at home you can use the big display.
