AA takes away from pixel art more often then not, just makes stuff looks blurred and not pixelated. Pixel art is the best, but I'd rather vector art over AA'd pixels any day of the week.
I find that AA kinda ruins pixel art. Gradiating the outline is fine. AA for pixel art that is for a game would require the game to use alpha blending, not that big of a deal, but it would also require the artist to set up a more involved alpha channel.
I think what would help the most with tutorials such as this would be an audio commentary. For instance, you could say stuff about the angles of the isometric lines, and tell about what goes through your mind when you choose to color X face of a solid with a certain tone, etc. That kind of thing could be really helpful to people starting out, because many might not understand right away "why" you drew a certain way and all. You might need to slow down the video to comment on it though...
