John's brother Bill was once invited to join the Beach Boys while Brian was having difficulties many moons ago. John was once part of Jan & Dean's touring band too. He knows his stuff and is well-respected by other surf musicians....Fans of the genre & great vocals don't waste time arguing about what surf is all about or who should-should not be singing and playing it. It's all about the music...John has nothing but respect for Carl & is honored to sing the songs & hang where Dennis used to.

STOP IT ALREADY! Carl Wilson is turning in his grave as this crap plays. The Beach Boys are gone. Carl and Dennis are dead and Brian is not leading the survivors out on tour. This is no better than if Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr were to get Kenny Loggins and Jimmy Buffett and call themselves the Beatles. PLEASE...

I'm confused. Who is singing lead on this song? It has always been my favorite Beach Boys song. There is also a reference to John Cowsill. What is he doing on this clip? And, didn't I hear that 2 of the Cowsill Family just died. Are you talking about the Cowsill family? Please straigten me out on these things. Thanks

Yes, John Cowsill is a Beach Boy now. Plays keyboards and drums. Nobody can sing like original BB Carl Wilson, but John Cowsill does an amazing vocal job with this song and also with I Can Hear Music. Catch the Beach Boys if you can when they're on tour. John is fantastic. Also, the 2 Cowsills that have passed away are Bill(oldest brother from The Cowsills) and Barry(died during Hurricane Katrina). The mom passed away back in the 1980's.

they weren't at rama on saturday...they were there on wednesday and thursday (july 9 and 10)... john stamos was there, which was a shock, but they didn't perform darlin' when i was there on wed (which sucks b/c thats one of my fav songs)...i was up dancing by the stage the whole night! :)... couldnt get decent videos this time, too much security :(...but i have close ups of mike for little deuce coupe and kokomo...GREAT SHOW

They came back to Casino Rama this past Saturday (July 12 2008) with John Stamos!!! I was there, they rocked! Darling was was my favorite song from them performing that night!!!!
