Having a hospital birth is scary. The more interventions, the more likely a woman will wind up with a c-section and hospitals are full of unnecessary interventions. Don't get me wrong, not every women should have a home birth but healthy women with no complications would be better off having a home birth. Other countries that have midwives as the primary care providers have lower c-section rates and lower mother/baby deaths.
You know, I would like to try a home birth, regardless what my doctor told my mother after I was born. The doctor told her how I was... I can't think of the word, so let me just say "structured", and that it's possible that I wouldn't have children naturally in the future. Mind you, that was in the late 70s, so it's possible that it doesn't apply anymore. I really don't know. *shrugs*
just watched your very special video and it was so moving and awesome, the music was beautiful and i loved all the photos throughout the pregnancy. Your baby is georgeous.please tell me how you all doing and how old is the little one now?...my little one is sadly nearly 16 and i can only just remember those precious days of being pregnant and holding a very special bundle of joy but i cant complain as she is very good and also my best friend in the whole wide world
Thank you for posting this. I've gone from being confident iabout pregnancy (when that time comes) to being more and more frightened by the images of pregnancy thrown around everywhere. Seeing your husband with you, holding you when things got tough, made me so happy and hopeful. Afterward you both look joyous and healthy. This is a beautiful video, and it makes me feel a lot stronger about what childbirth can be.
Thank you for the lovely reply. You should find a home birth midwife to talk to & fill you in on the facts of pregnancy and childbirth. It can be such a wonderful event in a woman's life. TV doesn't do childbirth any justice & though it is a bad experience for some women & somettimes the out come isn't good, by far it is a wonderful thing & if I could afford to I would have tons of kids. I LOVE being pregnant & I always look forward to my labor and deliveries. Happy future birthing to you!
i really ama sat here in tears that has too be the most moveing pregnancy video i have ever seen, and some of thost pictures of you whilst pregnant were really beautiful.
You have a very handson little boy there youre very blessed!!!!
Hello, I just wanted to let you know your video was fantastic. The pictures of you sitting by the window with the light coming in were breathtaking. They brought tears to my eyes. Congratulations on such a beautiful baby.
Awwww, you guys!!! Congratulations!!! You are sooo blessed, what a beautiful and healthy baby boy. God Bless Him. P.S. (Nails HAVE to be painted for every occasion!) BEST WISHES !!! :)
It's always nice to hear what people think. I'm glad to hear someone else likes it. The artist is Céline Dion, The song is A New Day. I had three miscarriages before I had him so I really thought this song was a great choice too.
I feel that the choice of music is excellent as it really brings out the total feel of this video? Great photography, and may i know wat is the title and artist of this song? Thanks
This is amazing! I actually cried! Those pictures are gorgeous!!! I'm an aspiring photographer and those pregnancy photographs are unbelievably amazing! Who took them?
Thanks for sharing your video! We had a homebirth (VBAC) in Sept. 2005, and I enjoy knowing about other families who give their babies such a precious gift of welcoming them to the world in such a warm loving way.
Yeah, that looked terrifying! *eye roll* Beautiful video, thanks for sharing :)

From an OB nurse and doula, that was beautiful. And thanks for posting this and exposing the mainstream to a beautiful, natural, normal homebirth. :)
