Good job in encouraging people to not buy american cars. LOL. I have a Prius and with the current global economy, gas is going to be relatively cheap for a long time and I just shelled out 4K to replace my damn battery. It is not cost effective, trust me. Much better battery tech needs to be developed before hybrids are worth it.
