@fooser1 Actually, it wasn't "hair extensions" as are used today. Back then, "falls" were very popular. The difference is, a fall is ONE piece and was attached by built in combs midway down the crown of the head. Then the real hair was combed over it so it all blended. It wasn't weaved in with the natural hair as they do today. You could go home, remove the fall and be done with it. Wasn't sewn in your hair like extensions are. How do I know all this? My mom.
Lynn delivers a song in all the best ways...her phrasing is one of her strongest
features and that amazing face. She has just enough pain in her voice and expressions to perfectly balance the positive energy she puts off. She's very cool.
Just excellent! Superb for singing over the original instumental track live. I just wish she still sounded like this today because that was really the voice in the day! I will forever miss that voice!
@quadraphonicfreak As good as she was back then, i think she sounds better today. Much more powerful, torch-singer type voice now. I agree .. doesn't sound like the same person as the young Lynn when she does those syrupy, sweet country-pop songs that she was known for, but she now sings with a lot more power and emotion.
@larkpraise If today's country music was more like this, I would probably listen to to. Thank God for Loretta, Patsy, Tammy, Lynn, Dottie, and Dolly, and any classic ladies I might have missed.
She's beautiful and so is this song she sings.

I love the song, but I can't stop laughing at the hair extensions....

Laugh all you want, but hair extensions... back then they couldn't even extend suffrage to women, let alone her hair.

They certainly don't make them as good as this now, what a pity, these were the days when everything was so much better.
