    Best regards from Colombia.

I`m planning to visit Rio next year. But I want to have some basic knowledge of portugese.

  • Great Lessons; Its been especially tough for me. Being that I speak fluent Spanish, i always revert to my Spanish pronunciation and than translate to Portuguese. Many words have slight change that I need to remember..muto obrigado!

  • What does "costuma" mean?

  • @thatlazyslacker

Costuma is a way to say "used". e.g. I'm used to do the dishes after dinner.

  • @FarmaciaReturns

Obrigado! And on #5, what does "consigo" mean?

    "Nao consigo ler ainda"

  • @FarmaciaReturns

Muito obrigado! E obrigado por ser tao legal comigo! I really appreciate you helping me!

  • @thatlazyslacker

"Consigo" is the first person of the verb "Conseguir". This verb has many meanings such as "to get, to can, to make".

In that exemple the correct meaning is: I can't read (in Portuguese) yet.

  • Obrigado pela lição!

    Cumprimentos da Polônia! :)
