  • so how much is this over all

  • for the uk/euro guys who want the option 2 TP 2700KV motor and dont want to wait for HK shipping. go to giantcod its like 6quid an amazing price p+p is also very cheap

  • Hey guys first off, i cant tell you how happy i am of all the videos you are putting up and all the step by step stuff you are doing. Second i have a question for you. i really love building stuff myself (and it helps save money to lol) but i was wondering, is this flying wing you built good for new fliers? i am also wondering. that motor you used on it from Hobbyking/city, what speed control did you use?

Best of luck to all of you guys, and thanks for all the videos!!

  • blackivy88 if you have never flown an rc plane before then I would say this would be a bit of a challenge to fly for your first plane. It would make a good second plane after learning on a trainer. If yoy build it from epp like I did it is very crash resistant. I have used a few motors on this plane but like the Turnigy 2836-2350kv the best, used wiyh a 6x4 prop. Used with Turnigy plush 60A ESC.

  • Thanks again man, really good of you to help me out, I'll get the ball rolling tomorrow at my local supplier. Hope to have as much success as you have. I'm going with the 1.9 density for main and 1.3 for airfoils. Its a good compromise. Bless you and all who fly with you

  • Thanks for the prompt reply guys, I think I'll go with a compromise of 20mm EPP with 8mm KFs, I contacted my local supplier of EPP and they asked what density I required? Any ideas?? Keep up the great work, my friends and I are really appreciative of your tutorials and experience.

  • TheRodster999 you can use either 1.3 or 1.9 density EPP. The 1.9 is stiffer but also heavier. It comes down to what your personal preference is. So choose the one you want or you can mix them it really doesn't matter. I used 1.3 for the main piece and 1.9 for the KF airfoils, it's just what I had laying around.

  • Guys, great videos, can you tell me if I wanted to build without KF airofoil what thickness of foam am I using and what density EPP is best to use?

    Thanks again

  • TheRodster999 I used 30mm 1.9 EPP on the one without the KF airfoil but you could go as thin as 15mm if you want it to be faster. You will lose more lift the thinner you go.

  • Thanks for the comment 62797!! Glad you like the plane!

  • Hi,

Can I use 2 pieces of 18x23 and glue them together? They'll be 36x23 when glued togetter. Is it okay that it's 1" shorter? I have 14mm EPP.

  • kenv98 that should work fine but you might need to play with the cg of the plane just a little to get it dialed in. If the plane noses down too much move the cg back a little. If it flys tail heavy move the cg a little forward. If you make the battery slot on the plane longer at the front and back you should be able to move the battery back and forth till the cg is right.

  • great info thank you very much... one more question u may be able to awnser... instead of using EPP could u use blucor foam?

  • Thanks SpitfireFan101! We get our EPP foam online from RC Sky Flyer. The foam comes in various thickness from 5mm to 75mm and two dimensions are available either 36in x 24in or 36in x12in. For this plane I used 36in x 24in x 15mm for the center piece and 36in x 12in x 8mm for the KF airfoil pieces. I would recomend shrinking the center piece down to 10mm thickness if you want more speed out of the plane.

  • daveyedgar thanks for watching and subscribing!! Glad to hear you enjoy the videos.

  • Wow thanks for making these videos! Awesome!
