If you think you are an atheist, an agnostic, a skeptic, or have any other form of intellectual pride which keeps you from accepting what is in this book, I feel sorry for you. If you still think you are strong enough to beat the game alone, that is your affair. But if you really and truly want to quit drinking liquor for good and all, and sincerely feel that you must have some help, we know that we have an answer for you.
@rockyroad4003 So atheists , agnostics, and skeptics are suffering from intellectual pride? That's a crock. We are simply not so gullible as to believe in faith healing. We succeed in our sobriety by living in the real world instead.
Actually, I have no problem with this video. It's more honest than the shameless promotion of AA's 12-step program through recovery oriented series, without using the AA name. Just say what you're promoting so people know what they'r getting.
Nice animation. What about secular alternatives that may be better for people who do not want to belong to a religious cult? AA fails most people and there is not a molecule of scientific evidence that it does anything to help people stop drinking.
We don't see these kinds of commercials out there for AA because AA works on attraction rather than promotion. This is a good one, though. What kind of course were you taking to make this??
We don't see AA commercials because AA doesn't lend it's name to outside organizations. That's why there is this 12-step recovery movement shamelessly advertising itself all over the place (without calling itself AA) everywhere from Oprah to series like "Intervention" or "Celebrity Rehab".

Just wish it wasn't promoting a cult...

I love it. It keeps out the personalities and gets the message out there effectively. Wonder why we don't see these kinds of PSA's out there?
