@expressivechild I wouldn't say that Morrison "avoided" Foreman's punches completly. Foreman did get his licks in against Morrison and Morrison to his credit was able to absorb them. Morrison was more defensively sound in that fight than in most of his others, but Foreman did manage to get some solid blows in, and remember, Foreman hit so hard that he could knock guys out with glancing blows.

Like the match with Mercer, he was winning the fight with the scorecards obviously on his side. But the hard hitting but unskilled Mercer caught him in the corner and an flurry of unanswered 10+ punches destroyed him. Got to agree though, Foreman's has such freakish power than even his seemingly careless punches can really hurt.. Moorer sure knows that!

@expressivechild right, and if you look, it shows some replays where Foreman lands shots flush on Morrison's chin and he survived them so I really don't think that it's fair to say that Morrison's chin was really in question. The beating that he took from Mercer would have KO'd anyone from any era, and I wouldn't necesarilly say that Mercer was unskilled, he was just a slow starter like Joe Frazier. When he would get going, he was damn near unstoppable.

If he had a good chin he would not wobble because of one or two punches. He would stand intact and defend himself instead. Mercer was never a 'skilled' fighter. Hard hitting with an iron chin. He is only dangerous when he get to set up his opponent. Great fighter or not, a chin is natural.
