Most artists just need a blog sites where they can post an entry and embed a video and let people make comments I think Twitter will fade because Facebook/Myspace will integrate a similar feature in their sites. The only thing that makes Twitter hot is you can use it with your phone.

I don't think a lot of people understand what's a Ning site. Ning is like you want to start your own Myspace/Facebook type site where people join it and create profiles and do all the stuff people do on Myspace and Facebook. Even on Thisis50, I don't think people fuck with it like that in my opinion. People check Thisis50 for the blog post on the front page and leave a comment on a particular post and that's it. I don't know anybody that hangs out there except in the Kyte chat and forums. .

I disagree with that statement "if you are not a signed artist, don't even think about it". The fact that I am a unsigned artist (to Universal, Sony, etc....) is the main reason why I should be on every site I can to get my name out there, but on the flip, it is pointless to be on several sites and no street runners to get the sites to the people. I'm my own CEO and artist and producer, one man shop, I signed myself.

I do agree that I don't need a Ning site.
