I think Kamal has lot of different ideas.......lot of knowledge, however, when it comes to film making, he is not completely able to transform his excellent scripts to movies....the idea is there, but the execution would be awesome if some one like Mani Ratnam or Shanker or Bharathi raja directs it rather than kamal himself or the crappy k.s.ravikumar

this is the only scene in which 3 of india's greatest actors share the screenspace, kamal haasan, naseeruddin shah and om puri, the only other actor to match these people is mohanlal. i wiould have definitely loved if Kamal had done a movie with mohanlal hen both of them were in their primes. now both of them have past their prime and have their own BO commitments forbidding them to experiment in a script which gives equal importance to both of them. sad.

Yes, Kamal was the director too ! A master piece for sure. Not many actually understands what was communicated through the movie. A lot of them think it's anti-gandhi sentiments which is so inaccurate ! Directorial brilliance !
