You can't expect Hilarie -- or anyone for that matter -- to simply drop all her other responsibilities and magically appear in Wilmington to film a few scenes.

One Tree Hill is an amazing show, and isn't the same without Lucas and Peyton the last episode of season 6 was a g8 way to end the show and even tho i love it they should of called it quits with out Lucas and Peyton. This screams The O.C. to me. If any of you watched that, too... You'll probably recall that they killed Marissa off, and then the show suffered... GREATLY!! I hope that doesn't happen because One Tree Hill is my FAVORITE show of all time, but I don't see how it's going to continue without it's main character, Lucas. When the show started it was about two brothers playing basketball. Lucas, being the main character. For God's sake... He does all the voiceovers! That means he's kind of important.
I just wanted to add on... that I love the show. I'm not going to stop watching. And, I don't think people should blame Mark. I've read stuff that says Chad wanted to leave for a LONG time, and they couldn't work out a deal with their contracts. It sucks, but that's what reportedly happened. I'm sure Mark's scripts and words will still be amazing. A lot of viewrs will miss the characters, not only because they might be their favorites, but they're staples of the show. People love these two.

I watched this show for six season for the core five. This is how the show began, and they shouldn't have altered that. The last episode for me was the 6th season finale. I took it as the series finale! T.V. shows are a dime a dozen!

About Peyton....I grew up with her....I cried when she cried...She teached me about the music....And about Love...about friendships.....And it will be very hard to be without her....She is a guide to another world...The world I wish I can live in.... This show is the reason why ppl know ur name it's the least u could do for ur cast. The shows gonna get canceled. and CMM isn't commenting or anything

Hilarie & Chad should not have left the show. They mean way to much to the show. Not to mention they are my FAVORITE characters! I love them. I love their characters. It breaks my heart that they are not in One Tree Hill anymore. The show is still really good, but I it would be a lot better with my two favorite characters, and actors. If you guys are reading this, I love you both. You're honestly, my FAVORITE actors.

One Tree Hill is an amazing show, and isn't the same without Lucas and Peyton the last episode of season 6 was a g8 way to end the show and even tho i love it they should of called it quits with out Lucas and Peyton. I have watched the first 3 episodes of season 7 & its not the same, they have defiantly left a big hole to fill & no 1 will be able 2 fill it, but im gunna keep watchin because i LOVE OTH :)

Peytons my favorite character, its going to be so weird watching it without her. She was the reason I got so into Tree Hill in the first place.
I was so sad when I found out that she want going to be in season 7.

Hilaire, if what you say is true, then i wish you great success with your future productions and projects. Like any other OTH fan, it won't be the same without you and regardless of how much success the show may get in the future, the show lost a great piece of the puzzle, and no one can fill the gap you left.
I sincerely hope fans will make a difference and hopefully bring you back in the coming season.

that really sucks, i also think that the show went downhill in season 5, and part of that was because peyton wasn't with lucas, the show will deffinatly not be the same without peyton, i'm going to have a difficult time watching it becuase peyton is personally my favorite character, she completes the show in my opinion, and ithink everyone has been attached to peyton and lucas' relationship,.. anyways, the whole situation makes me sad =(

I personally think the show went down hill seasons 5 +6 and i am personally a brucas jeyton and naley fan (the originals) but i think its really stupid to do a s.7 w/o Lucas one of the two main characters (Nathan as the other loll) and Peyton bc the meaning of the show will endthey whole pt was to have these 2 brothers come together find love and defeat Dan thats been done since the end of s.4... let it end with good ratings and fans. But I love Hilarie and she is an amazing, classy actress!!

i agree, but i don't think oth went down hill in season 5 and 6. okay, maybe in 5 but i totally loved the 6th one. it's just...a different tree hill and there are different stories. but i loved the high school drama a little more. anyway...it sucks that hil and chad are leaving, they should've end it with the 6th season, 'cause the ending was just perfect! they absolutely risk getting bad ratings :-/

This screams The O.C. to me. If any of you watched that, too... You'll probably recall that they killed Marissa off, and then the show suffered... GREATLY!! I hope that doesn't happen because One Tree Hill is my FAVORITE show of all time, but I don't see how it's going to continue without it's main character, Lucas. When the show started it was about two brothers playing basketball. Lucas, being the main character. For God's sake... He does all the voiceovers! That means he's kind of important.

I just wanted to add on... that I love the show. I'm not going to stop watching. And, I don't think people should blame Mark. I've read stuff that says Chad wanted to leave for a LONG time, and they couldn't work out a deal with their contracts. It sucks, but that's what reportedly happened. I'm sure Mark's scripts and words will still be amazing. A lot of viewrs will miss the characters, not only because they might be their favorites, but they're staples of the show. People love these two.

He made them and therefore he knows when the right time is to let them go. But after seeing this vid, i mean OMG. One Tree Hill wont be the same. Im gonna stop watching it. i think its ridiculous. I dont get why peyton had to get pregnant, or why leyton got married ? i mean shes leaving the show. It wont be great memories, just some pointless shit with a crapy ending !

I watched this show for six season for the core five. This is how the show began, and they shouldn't have altered that. The last episode for me was the 6th season finale. I took it as the series finale! T.V. shows are a dime a dozen!

HIlarie, i am kind of a new one tree hill fan but i fell in love with the show the minute i saw it. i'm really sad that you and chad won't be comming back becuase the las like 3 episodes of season 6 were the best EVER! and u guyz all made me cry like super hard. Peyton was and will always be my favorite character on the show. she was an awesome role model and handled everything that life handed to her. soooo with that being said, good luck in the future and i wish you and chad the best of luck!

Wow, that'll make it hard. I mean I know the show is about all of them but really it started out about Lucas and stemmed out to the others...I hope that Chad and Hilarie didn't leave voluntarily....And if they havn't left willingly I hope the writers are prepared for the possibility of epic failure next season. Although I've always liked Sophia as Brooke. But without Lucas and Peyton....it doesn't feel right.

This is the saddest thing for me. I related to Peyton more than any other character I've ever seen on film and television. She inspired me and made me feel like I wasn't so alone. I don't know what I will do without this character helping to guide my life, but I know I will miss her. Hilarie Burton, you are an amazing actress and person.
