i applaud scranks for telling the truth with both their videos. We visited friends who were staying here and there are constant planes roaring by. We also took a look at the beach but there is not much to it at all. It is a hard crushed coral sand with a ugly marina plus stray dogs. there is no way you would want to swim in the sea here or spend time on this beach. I am glad we rented away from this place.
I'd like to wish to the Owners and the Management my congratulations for the great job done, since the whole developememt looks really great. And as a person involved in the tourism business from nearly 25 years also to express my appreciation for their great contribute to make of Koh Samui a tourist destination at the highest international standards.

As resident of Koh Samui Island for more then 10 years, and involved in a quantity of activity for the benefit of the local community, I can surely say that as at end of December 2010 the Samui Boat Lagoon has been open and now today 5 January nearly at the full occupancy.
There are two sides to every story. We were never informed arrival time/ flight number and could therefore not arrange for collection of guest “Scranks” our staff spent 2 hours in the morning waiting for their possible arrival.When the guests arrived they expressed their disappointment that the resort was not fully opened, although the area where we were accommodating “Scranks” was fully complete and we immediately, unlike a lot of hotel or resorts, offered a full refund if they wished to leave
The offer was declined and instead as one our 3 bedroom beach front villas was free for 3 nights we offered this villa which was accepted at no additional cost to the guests (the nightly rental cost of this villa 5 times as high as the villa they had booked and paid for).
The guest luggage was lost by one of the airlines and our staff spent time locating it and arranging for it to be delivered to the guests. The guests moved out after their stay in the beach front villa and a full refund was offered for the remaining booking period and was duly paid to the guest in cash. At the time of reservation a generous reduction was offered as a soft opening discount.
All villas are ready and 25 of 26 villas have been occupied since 30 December with more than one hundred happy guests. The resort pool was officially opened 30 December. The delay in opening parts of the resort has been due to the long heavy rains with flooding during November/early December (the worst for 30 years). We are situated very close to some five star hotels. One of them was recently voted best beach hotel in South East Asia by Conde Nast 2010 who experience the same occasional
aircraft noise as we do and we have never received a complaint re the aircraft noise. Due to our villas being situated by a boat lagoon we don’t suffer from heavy destructive waves and lots of debris that can be washed ashore during heavy storms. The beach front villas have been successfully rented out for 3 years now with satisfied customers returning this year for the 3rd year running. We have also booked here for the end of January 2011. The manager was great throughout or reservation. He answered all our questions and even sent us recent pictures of the resort. The resort is 95% ready. A friend of mine went there yesterday and she said it looked like great value for money and that the resort was very clean with a huge pool very much open for service. Only a reception is still beeing built but not really much noise from there. So we are not impressed by this backbiting movie
Hmmm, I'm also wondering where the building work is as its certainly not obvious from this clip? also the absence of noise (excluding the plane) When the above says all day and night?? I have stayed at this resort twice, once in 2008 and again in 2010, and we will definetely do so again. A lot has changed in 2 years and the area has become more developed, but all for the better. I'm certainly not a back packer and demand comfort which I found here. The hosts were fabulous. Enjoy your holiday.
