The BBC Radio2s Sounds of the 60s Beatles A-Z song for week startg 31JUL10. The prog explains that it WAS going to be released on The Beatles next album, but they broke up. The Beatles eventually released the 'Get Back Sessions' version on Anthology 3 in 1996. This version was recorded on George's 26th birthday & explains "At least he thought it was. Only in his 40s did George learn that his birthday was actually the 24th of Feb & not the 25th, as he'd originally believed.- 24FEB43 - 29NOV01 RIP

Well, remember when that psycho tried to kill him in his own house. He was stabbed by him, perhaps the knife was cancerous. Perhaps it was done on purpose. He died what, around the time of 9/11. I read somewhere that the psycho who broke in his house and stabbed him really caused him more harm than what was reported in the news. His wounds weakened his defenses against the cancer he was fighting at the time, so basically he might have beaten his cancer had this crazy prick not stabbed him numerous times.

@eartant Yeah, that might be true. However, he did end up with a brain tumor, throat cancer, and lung cancer ... that's a hard bunch of stuff to fight through.

@JasonTryp I can't imagine why anyone would kill George Harrison, or try to kill him. There are various ways that cancer can be induced or be made much worse. Sometimes surgical removal of a cancer, causes it to spread elsewhere and faster. And spy agencies have long had ways to induce a fast acting cancer in someone so it does not look like an assassination.

PS. George really had those Garden Gnomes. They were not just used for the Album's Cover (All Things Must Pass), or for the making of this documentary. They actually sat on his veranda for years as part of a 'display' in his huge estate 'Friar Park'.

George was so awesome. Even in the throes of his illness he managed to rock the house. At 5:14 he looks so tiny next to that big acoustic guitar. God, what a talent.
