  • She is behaving like she has something intelligent to say, but she really hasn't. Waste of time.

  • we believe what we cant prove...? unbelievable incoherent, who buys this?

  • did she go to a proper school, or is this blurb all mumbo jumbo made up by her.... or is she jesus? This dream seems to be for rich americans...... 85% of the globe hunts for food each day, no dream there.....

  • If your thoughts and images in your head are not real, then why does Byron Katie moderate the comments on her channel? What is she afraid of?

  • @darshanonearth

    Contiousness at play :)

    In Lak'ech

  • This Aunty is mad

  • She is reliable friend!

  • life is not just a dream, its a total, total dream..

  • thats the right way of dealing with things (centering and replying from inner core), good approach Katie, thanks for sharing this.

  • What if mind is not within body, but body, and everything else is within Mind? And the brain just an interface between Mind and body? With Mind being Awareness, being the matrix in which all that is impermanent arises and falls away? Because of sense perception feedback, and visual orientation being in the head, there is the conviction of being in the body, instead of the body being in us, which is Awareness. Just raising the question for inquiry, not interested in defending as "right".

  • Life is false because it has been built /created it for us. There's nothing left to do in life than be bored and that is what is causing all the mental/emotional illness. The money grubbing men and women in and out government have created what we call "society" for us, when in reality, it shouldn't that way at all. Anarchy is the only way to live. Living artfully is the only way to live.

  • @darshanonearth Each thought is a kind of dream ~strung together thoughts become a story Even the thought 'whats a dream' is a dream.Perhaps a dream is a kind of filter or temporary way of seeing or experiencing?

  • Good stuff!

  • life is only a shared illusion

  • While I love all of Katie's videos, this one seemed to go even 'deeper' into some of her descriptions of the work and how it reveals itself within her life. I think Joginder did a great job with his questions throughout this series, probing a bit deeper into the things Katie often says but which may not always have a chance be understood more fully.

  • I think some people may have missed the point

  • @gemmology77 yep, if there is no point, it's easy to miss....

  • Are you sure that Life is a dream? Or is Dream a Life ??

  • @tchiritchou "Row your boat...merrily ...life is but a dream". I'd say it surely can B interpreted like a dream, in which all the major characters R but reflections of aspects of self & the narrative (story line) has somethin 2 say 2 us, the dreamer, specifically. We recall the dreams we have as we wake, cuz waking overlaps sleepin. 4 most of us, this is the only chance our bodies get 2 speak & B heard. It's like the rest of our consciousness, severed off, thrusts into view what must 4 survival

  • We all need more love; that magical, transforming power. When we let it into our hearts, our world shifts. Nothing truly matters except the way we give and receive love. I highly recommend: “Precious Gifts of Love” by C.J. Good (AMAZON). 366 daily reflections explore the meaning and miracles of love. Breaking through the confines of self-imposed obstacles to freedom; feeling contentment in all aspects of life, is the purpose of its message.

  • @altaskier3 we need love, but survival of the fittest is still our main reason for living on....

  • I love 'the work' but still get a little confused with loving what is when there is something unspeakably bad happening, ie. torturing/raping children/animals etc etc lets face it there's a lot of 'evil/unconsciousness in the world' that when acted on in the best possible way brings about wonderful change, but that action surely doesn't come from peace? Wouldn't peace lead to inaction more often than not???

  • @HanTuber If you go on the street and you see something like this - you can do something. But, if you know that somewhere children are raped or animals hurt - you have the influence on how you feel with that fact. I know it seem sometimes terrible, but look - when you don't accept the fact, that somewhere there are hurting animals in this moment, YOU are hurted also by your beliefs. In this case, you are in the hell, not the children/animals. "They should'nt hurt them" - is that true?

  • Anyone who wakes up in the morning and takes three hours to fix her hair and put on her face is not exactly a great proponant for spiritual awakening. Apart from that, she sounds vague, hesitant and totally unbelievable. I will bet she charges top dollar for workshops of such stupid empty nothings and dumb trusting idiots pay it.

  • @jerramy indeed, well put, its for rich americans never disturbed by events in the world apart form their hunger for electricity and power for gadgets and to keep macD burning those cancerous hamburgers....

  • I still find it useful to acknolwedge my past especially the loving and helpful things done for me by people who cared for me.

  • I love the work of Byron Katie. I now have a way to deal with the mind chattering that I have been trying to overcome. I am so happy I found BK, but nothing happened by accident, right? If there is a will, one will always find a way. Thanks so much for your contribution to humanity.

  • no second guessing

  • This video is just a small taste of what Byron Katie does with The Work. The first time I listened to Loving What Is, I thought it was really strange. But I focused on the purpose of The Work. It's to find peace in your life by examining the reality of each situation that hurts you. I find that every situation that I find myself in is worse because my thinking makes it that way. There isn't a way for me to know what the other person is thinking so I change the way I think. There's peace in that.

  • @antwanfisha I agree with you about the fact that, in this example, your father beat you up, that was real, that happened, no doubt about it. In this example someone migth be thinking: "he beats me up, he doesn't love me". The undeniable fact is that he beats you up, no discussion about it, the meaning i gave to it is "he doesn't love me". That is what she invites us to inquiry with the 4 questions. Why questioning? well, you may discover suffering is optional. Why not questioning? Best regards

  • Aggresive body movements combined with kind words agressively arfticulated and soft-spoken. Quite a guru!

  • genuinely a person that has been "lit up"

  • We have no power in our past..all our power to create is in the Eternal NOW...whatever we're thinking, and whatever we're feeling and whatever is manifesting in our life is always a match. Our bodies follow the train of our thoughts!...Abraham / Esther Hicks

  • Dream is YOUR reality. The Reality itself

  • History repeats itself BK, I KNOW this to be true but that doesn't mean we must live in our past. Wake up lady, when I say you are a nut case, I mean this from within me. You are Jim Jones with no Kool Aid.

  • Am I the only one who realizes she's a mental patient?

  • @MedicalVideoJunkie Let's suppose she is a "MENTAL PATIENT" as you call her. A mental patient who has helped millions of people to stop and look at beliefs and belief systems causing them and those around them pain and suffering. So, one question to you: It won't hurt. Just for the fun of it. Have you put your beliefs through the test or are you just holding on to them? Because if they cannot be put through the test no matter what, well, we may have a case that the Earth is flat...

  • @MedicalVideoJunkie Who better to speak about these issues than someone who has lived it?

  • if life is a dream, what is a dream?

  • @darshanonearth dreams are a dream of many dreams...or a sneak preview of thoughts you had during the day of even weeks,..they mean nothing..question is who is the dreamer..? who is reading this post..?...who wants to know....?

  • @darshanonearth life is a dream then...a dream is life?

  • @darshanonearth life...

  • @darshanonearth a dream within a dream o_O... talk to Christopher Nolan...

  • @darshanonearth A dream is an illusion. And that can be as close to truth we can come.

  • @darshanonearth What is a dream? It is a dream within another dream. Forms ( events, people, words, thoughts, images, whatever..) appear and disappear. This creates the illusion..it creates the dream. The one who always remains unchanged is the one who watches. It is the knower. It is the eternal witness.Warm greetings from Romania.

  • @mimi2063 That is such a magnificent answer. DOE's question was obviously stimulating by the comments on the board. A lot of people had good answers but your answer was really succinct. Well done mimi2063

And Merry Christmas to you. This is definitely a time of year when the inner dreamer awakens. When the Christ is born.

  • @celestian1111 Thank you my dear friend ! Best wishes For a Merry Christmas and a A Happy New Year !

  • @mimi2063 what a load of bull, study pholosophy, your reasoning is flawed, the knower just just cant exist.

  • @darshanonearth life

  • @darshanonearth

Dreams are based on our subconscious.

We are ruled by our subconscious..all our fears are held there and play back to us like a tape.

Everything material decays, "Reality is in the things unseen , not seen, for the things seen are temporary"

But, to me, feelings are much more important than analysing .

Intellectuality is not important. We are ruled by feelings, and those are in the subconscious.

John Ruskan is the person who makes much more sense of who we truly are.

  • @darshanonearth Life

  • @darshanonearth

    dream is life.......... )))

  • @dungquenem: if life is dream and dream is life, then life is life and dream is dream.

  • @darshanonearth dreams occur in all states of consciousness, in all dimensions, realms and vibrations. everything is an illusion, the biggest of them all being your choice to identify yourself solely with your form, your body.

  • @darshanonearth My guess is a dream is an ephemeral story, thought or image that temporarily captures our awareness and convinces us of its reality as apart from us even though its us creating the story were at its source~were the dreamer. So maybe the notion that life is a dream makes more sense if we include and were the dreamer.

  • @darshanonearth

just another part of life :)

  • @darshanonearth If life is dream then the dream is a dream inside of a dream. A dream dream is a copy of a life dream. Imagine being awaken, how expanded it is compared to life dreaming?..

  • @darshanonearth A perception of an alternative reality, or the many visions

    of oneself within the multiverse?

The universe is extremely beneficial when a woman can makes a 'living'

talking this shit. "The Work"? This is half baked spirituality, like

religion...it fills a need, but gives you no insight, just alot of

words. And in the end, your wallet is going to be 'lighter'!

  • @fntime, maybe it gives YOU no insight, but evidently, for a lot of people, it provides what they need. Not everybody can grasp abstract ideas very well. Some just want bananas.

  • Just my opinion, but I think BK is a bit off. I think a wound is evidence of the past. A car crushed up from slamming head on into an 18 wheeler is evidence of the past. I don't think she's totally insane, just perhaps somewhat delusional. Maybe some of the things she says are true, but overall I'm not convinced enough to change my life. I do appreciate the post and God speed if you choose that path, but be wary of some of her theories.

  • @antwanfisha "BK is abit off" - turn it around!!! :P or may be I should! :) "Reality rules, but only 100% of the time" ~ BK

  • @antwanfisha @antwanfisha Shared reality is something you may want look into a little deeper. What BK does is simply question what you perceive as reality and how that perception sets off your emotional response to that perception. She found a way to put perceived shared reality to the test (There are, of course, much more elaborate ways such as zazen and zen). Are you aware of what in you wants to be war-y?

  • @antwanfisha You are missing the whole point here, when she says that there is no past she is talking about the meaning it has for us. Let's say that in the past your father used to beat you up, that is a fact, of course he did it, what is not a fact and what is to be questioned is the meaning you gave to the fact of your fater beating you up. Maybe you think it means he didn't love you, maybe you think you were not good enough for him, etc. Question the meaning not the facts

  • @gabonino8201 Hmmm.... okay my father beat me up. It happened. It was real. If I never think about it again then it doesn't change the fact that it happened (which it didn't). I do believe BK has good intentions, but she seems to be losing her grip on reality. I could be wrong. When you say question the meaning not the facts, I say why question it at all? I am who I am and things happen. I also make things happen. That's my life, and I wouldn't change it for the world. Best regards

  • beautiful

  • Even Eckhart Tolle says there is such a things as the past. Photographs, paintings suggest that there is a past, though we may try to live in the past.

  • @andrewestbrook its important to note that we view the present through a veil of past conditioning which prevents us from seeing what is truly going on. We see, literally, the past. When you look at a lamp you are seeing your conditioned interpretation of it, that is why a lamp seems rather mundane. We're not seeing it as it truly is. The word "lamp" has hindered our ability to see the miracle that is there.

  • @andrewestbrook there is no present - by the time we perceive it is already past

  • @OLiViAshhh why?

  • How about the third part of a human? We are a spirit being live in flesh and have soul. She speaks about the soul (will, feeling, thinkning) I MEAN SHE SPEAKS TOO MUCH ABOUT THE MIND AND IT IS THINKING!! How obout be renewed in mind by the word of God. I think she don.t have any peace in her life and she creats questions to those who are not born again in Jesus christ

  • @7777382 To come to understand the spirit and the word of God, you have to open your mind to it. When the mind is filled with misconceptions and fears, that will be very difficult. When you shine a light on these misconceptions, this light is fuelled by great Wisdom. The light is to encompassing to give it a name, some might say God.

  • @NYCw66 Well I appreciate your insight NYCw66, I haven't done any work shop and only read the books. I came across her first book on a brutal day in my life and found some insight into what went wrong for me. Thanks for your insight, and good luck to you.

  • Well, I think Katie has an amazing system for understanding your thoughts. These ways have helped me completely turn around me life. I have far healthier relationships now, with my family and friends, and I am much happier now, by far, times 100. Gone are the needs and hurts, and powerlessness that comes from believing all our thoughts. I see some criticism here towards NYC, he has a right to think what he wants, he has that right. I am glad we live in a world where this occurs, let him be.

  • at one end nyc is arguing that bk is a false guru, and then the retard is using bks 'work' to win an arguement, what a dipshit, thats why we need more ug krishnamurtis, to wipe out this retarded use of spirituality, nyc is a knobhead

  • LOL to u people down there fighting boud god knows what (NYCw66+akashaditi n huever) gotta love these youtube commentator battles!

    silly..silly but entertaining nonetheless

  • @nicool722 yeah, but that nyc dude is braindead

  • @NYCw66 you are mixed up arent you? on one hand doing this and on the other hand praising? you are sucked into her cult! you are the one recommending her books? you little rat, ill track down all your lies.

  • be careful in getting sucked into NYCw's cult of believing this woman is dangerous.

  • @NYCw66. Is Byron Katie dangerous? Is that true? Can you absolutely be certain that that's true? What would happen if you didn't have that thougt? If Byron Katie seems dangerous to you, what is it that you are so afraid of? Btw, I respect your opinion, but please look around you and see in what cult you are living. Peace

  • Is that true? Katie is dangerous? I really want to know, sweetheart.

  • Profound information. The "Work" is a very practical approach to uncovering what she referrs to as "the underworld'...the beliefs we hold up to support the unquestioned thought. She has said, that people only suffer when they believe all their thoughts, and don't question them. Highly reccommended!!!!!!!
