  • ich mag das nicht.

  • this is Colin Hay not Men at Work... great piece anyways

  • Great Video PJK! Love the FF Advent with one of my fav's from Colin Hay. Thank you for putting it together!

  • MK1 (Mind Kontrol 101) did a fantastic job with this video. As sad as reality.

  • i think leaving the subtitles in kinda added to it all in some points, kinda reasserts the songs meaning that much more.

  • Hmm... the one girl... she has a moogle...

she reminds me of lulu... is it lulu...?

  • its not, all final fantasys are unrelated except like 10-2. though it could be a homage to that, theres probably a lot of other references in it

  • oh. kay. that's what i had thought, but i wasn't COMPLETELY sure... thankyou...!!

    awesome vid, by the way...!!

  • well dont forget the ivalice saga lol but those are fairly disjointed as well

  • @PeterJKing Your retarded Final fantasy 7 has so many other things that connect together with it

Advent Children , Final fantasy 7 , Final fantasy Crisis core , Final fantasy before crisis there is a ton that 7 branches out and around to

So the possibility is there that could lulu cause this is years before 10 but most likely No

  • @ABKIllKaos I believe term would be special? However; Crisis Core: Only reference of moogle was as a summon I believe. FF7 itself, we have Cait Sith's stuffed body is based upon a moogle, so yeah it could be a tribute there, as well as games and summon. in fact the one you didn't mention: Dirge of Cerberus is one i haven't played yet, looking into it, Vincent saves a girl with a mog doll. So I stand corrected it could be a tribute there. I don't get your last paragraph though

  • @PeterJKing Why are you both so unbelievably retarded? Moogles were around back in the NES days in Japan, and SNES days in the US. Moogles are a long standing race in FF games, just like Chocobos, you idiots. It's not a tribute or homage to anything, it's just a part of the FF series, in the same way characters named Biggs, Wedge and Cid appear in a bunch of the games despite being totally different characters that aren't related in any way from game to game.

  • This looks really great, but it would be nice if it didn't have the closed captioning at the bottom, it distracts from the way the pictures sync up with the lyrics of the song.

  • yeah i know, i just didnt have access to the english version on pc, only a pretranslated jap one

  • I miss them very much, too! "Men at work" was a brillant band and their songs are still played today on radio all over the word. "Overkill" is my favourite song, I really love that tune!

  • Really miss Men at Work, and their lead singer Colin Hay. The men from the land of Thunder, the Land Down Under. Love this version by Colin, he deserves a Vegemite sandwich.

  • its the movie

    advanced child

  • Advent Children. Not advanced.

  • I've played them all... is this the new Ff7?

  • colin hay! awesome alone as well....

  • wow that was great 5/5

  • this version of "overkill" is not from Men at Work...

    its from Colin Hay.

  • colin hay is the lead singer of men at work. i know its him as a solo

  • @PeterJKing - then why not title it as "Colin Hay"?..he recorded this about 20 years after Men At Work split up

  • @noteatpig2getha

    Saaaaay whaaaaaaaaa?!?!?!?!

Really? I could have sworn I listened to the tape (Cargo?) of this while in the woods as a Boy Scout in '81-82.

  • colin hay is from the band men at work but is so awsom he can do it on his own

  • Very Good!!!

  • tnks dude

    =)

    luv dis song!

  • hey well dun.

    is this ff a movie?

if it is wat is it called?

  • final fantasy advent children, think its a 2006 film

  • dont think its 06.... but dont take my word for it because i really have no idea. I just remember it being earlier

  • it came out in the us '04 i think. Obviously earlier in Japan.

  • very well done.. gj ^_^

  • they are too good. can you do something more?

    i miss you!

  • a simple search would involve going down the page and looking at what other people said

  • I really lake this song and enjoyed this movie too but I still don't get haow are they related.

If I had done an Amv with this movie I would have chosen some intrumental or progressive metal... but that's me.

It still is a good video and I like it

  • great vid

  • great vid

  • I gotta say, I like the original version better, but I love the song and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Final Fantasy VII! VERY GOOD!

  • Thank you Peter.

  • ...The ending actually put emotion in me again.. I felt... Sad... Very freakin sad for a moment.

  • I agree wholeheartedly with that sentiment. The ending almost had me at tears. Brilliant work.

  • Aeris dying was the most dramatic and sad moment in any video game ever, what a great story. Nice job Peter.

  • whom ever posted this could you possibly send me the mp of this song please. i would lu ya 4 it

  • Don't blame yourself for the flow issues, the song itself has a very stumbly feel and would be very hard to sync with a video.

  • Very refreshing take on a Final Fantasy video, great job! Should be more on here =)

  • This cover is slightly faster in places to the official cover for scrubs, the one that's on itunes. I also gos up on some different notes, etc. But it is still great

  • great work.excellant sync vid ties in with the song.really refreshing take..

    thanks

  • good ending

  • Brilliant.

Both the song and its corrilation with the CG clips from Final Fantasy.

    It makes me feel better.

  • i wanted too kick the guy on scrubs ass 4 bustin the guitar

  • i think that was dr. cox

  • what the hell is this game because i want it. i know its a final fantasy but its not very clear which one it is.

    someone please help

  • this is the sequel of ff7 but its a film

  • it's final fantasy 7 advent children i have it

  • scrubs kicks ass. colin kicks ass. great songq!!!

  • Grande Men at work

  • colin hays is with the band men at work because colin hays wrote most of there songs and that song oerkill was written by colin hays and then later on he gave it to men at work and thats when they praformed it

  • Is that Final Fantasy 7?

  • its the film final fantasy 7 advent children [set 2 years after]

  • Esse som também é massa!

Marcella Carioca de ótima opção musical!

  • the one seen on scrubs is by lazlo bane

  • the theme is lazlo bane, but this is colin hay's solo version of his bands song

  • Peter is correct. Colin Hay is the man shown in the episode. Lazlo's version is, most likely based on that arrangement.

  • i saw colin hay in springfield il what a show what a performer got to shake his hand his lyrics and music will show that there are still classic tunes worth listening to

  • Yeah, the song is by men at work, but this is just colin hay, the lead singer, playing the song acoustic. Great video though

  • This is Colin Hay

  • very good job buddy... keep walking :)

  • its good. the video meshed well with the song. especially at the end

  • good but i like the one with just Colin better.....the scrubs version is my favorite. This is ok but its still a good song. It sounds fuller on this one.

  • awesome!!!!

  • Cool vid... but not the same acoustic version from Scrubs... Youtube this: Scrubs and Colin Hay

  • the version in scrubs is cut up and i think slightly faster [i think i think]

  • Well, I may be a little dense, but it sure sounds a lot different to my ears. For instance: On the Scrubs version, Colin's guitar playing is very staccato from the beginning and through the verses. It sounds like he's only playing fifths and the occasional third. This version is all guitar strums.

Please don't get me wrong... both versions are wonderful, but I think they are very different recording.

    xoxo,

    ~leesa

  • maybe they are, i'll have to go listen [sorry if i sounded rude]

and they would be different recordings as he is playing it in those scenes...

who knows, lets just say ma-obably

  • I think everyone's just expecting the Scrubs version, (which I'm used to and I love.) there's another live acoustic video with Hay and that has this same version playing. People like the familiar, you know.

All that said, the clips you chose are sweet but I'm biased to the Scrubs version since I heard it first and I wish this played to it.

  • rockin vid:)

  • This is an awesome video!

    Congratulations!

  • This Is Great!!!

  • thank you

  • Where did you find this version of Overkill?

  • it says in a previous comment

but from a mate, dunno where he got it

  • I found this version in a folder of scrubs songs that I downloaded. He has a version that is very close to this in his solo 2003 "Man at Work" album. It has some good covers of Down Under, Beautiful World, Who can it be now, this song and some OK new songs. His going Somewhere album has much better post Men at Work songs.

  • i always loved this song but i must admit i never heard this version by Hay.i absolutly love it!thanks 4 posting it.madexx

  • I listened to this song on some random persons myspace profile. But the name was hidden! Ive just spent the last hour looking for it, its beautiful!

  • Where'd you get this version of Overkill?

  • from a mate, i dont know where he got it from, but knowing him i wont ask questions and get involved lol

but i think theres sites when you can download the song theres definately a few live covers of it, you just have to search

    that probably doesnt help though

  • This version was just Colin Hay was it not? His own version after he left Overkill. And in the episode before the one that featured this song, a song of his named Beautiful World was in it. One of the episodes is called My Last Day, thats all i can remember :]

  • i'm not sure about any of that lol, i think its season four, because i have it on dvd somewhere

i'll edit it if i know for sure, thanks for letting me know

there seems to be themes for each season, like season 4 has the theme of the word "awesome" it is said loads each episode lol

  • season 2 ep one My overkill.... oddly enough episode name

    comes from the song

  • it's better when it's faster, on scrubs WHICH I LOVE x10000

  • Okay, so although I know very little about Final Fantasy and everything that goes with it, it was a neat video to watch and a great song. I hadn't heard of Colin Hay before his guest appearance on Scrubs. Kudos. ;]

  • thank you =]

i hadnt either. a lot of "men at work" songs are on scrubs, like "if you cant dance then you aint no friend of mine" said by turk :P

  • You're thinking of 'Safety Dance' by Men Without Hats. :] That song makes me giggle like a five year old.

  • ah well still got men in it ahah...

  • very cool tune been a long while since i have heard it ..goes good with the video as well good job =)

  • thanks :]

  • Nice video . . . really nice ending. Good job.

  • thanks

  • Heard it on Scrubs...but today I heard it without a destroyed guitar in the end ;-)

  • its nicer, but not as funny...

  • Nice... just wau :))

  • Thanks for posting this! I had forgotten what a good song this was, and what a beautiful, unique voice Colin Hay had.

  • i love the song too, its why i chose it (and obviously i saw it on scrubs and was intrigued so i searched for it lol)

i'm surprized not many/any people have put the full song on here, just put the scrubs amount or first half

(but the lazlo bane version is cool and thats on youtube somewhere =])

  • I like the Acoustic version better than the one with all the trumpets and crap D:

    good job :D

  • i prefer it as well, too synth-sounding isn't it

its more like from the heart here

  • ya wicked songt and movie

  • i think this is pretty good, one of the best (and good movie btw FFVII ftw)

  • Amazing song, amazing vid, amazing game, nice job

  • cheers =]

  • am nt a game fan bt i luff dis sng av bin searchin 4 it 4 tym afta i saw it on scrubs

  • OHOHO!!!!

  • this is quality nice job

  • Thank you =]

  • Amazing ^_^
