  • god she plays the runs fast... her fingers are godlike.

  • schitterend!

  • she is just amazing!!!! i played classical violin until i went to college and it is a very hard instrument to play. i sound like a first grader now! she is just soso talented! thanks soso much for posting!!!!

  • Beautiful AND talented beyond belief! Heads above Pearlma . Don't know why I have never heard of her until about a month ago when I just happened to accidentally run across this video here. Thanks for posting.

  • Pinchas Zuckerman reigns!

  • @hazelssister

Thank you for spelling 'reigns' correctly.

  • Anne Sophie Mutter, Itzhak Perlman, and Janine Jansen are my top 3 favorite violinists...! :)

  • @travonprince do you know, Joshua Bell? oO?!

  • @lukax1986 Yes, but he's not one of my top 3 violinists. I don't like his usage of vibrato.

  • Bravo!

  • @tristan01101 hahahahahahahahahaahhaha

  • Joshua Bell disliked this 12 times

  • This piece is full of energy! (!!!!) It's a really good replacement of coffee :)

  • Amazing

  • Amazing

  • 0:02 - 0:21 - That part is like "Darn it, what i have done, i screw it up" Geez xD jajaja. Anyways, great piece from this lady :D

  • the strongest Woman

  • so brilliant!!

  • Breathtakingly beautiful music. Outstanding performance!

  • lol seriously in my opinion along with decades of experience with music, Anne-Sophie Mutter and Itzhak Perlman are THE best violinists I have ever heard. Please don't give me a bunch of hate, because I know there are many differing opinions, but I mean with I first learned to play the violin the golden standards as models to listen to were these two.

  • @lorditachijr I agree that Mutter and Perlman are two of the greatest of all times! there are another some really greatest like Vadim Gluzman, Maxim Vengerov, Vadim Repin, Dmitri Berlinsky from our generation... I love Mutter's and Perlman's recordings of many pieces and I think only the best! I study from them since I was 10 years old! :) it's an example how we should play and the high point to reach to!

  • @Cranebird I love all of those too. You have great taste in who you listen too. There are also a couple of others I think are in that boat, like Milstein for example. I'm just glad we have such great talent to listen to and study from.

  • Für mich, der beste Kenner der Violine Seele

  • didn't really like the beginning so much, but apart from that it's pretty damn amazing :P

  • this is by far the best interpretation of this piece ive ever heard

  • giggity...

  • This interpretation owns all other interpretations. Period

  • nice ass :)

  • No one played this like Michael Rabin...

  • After comparing with Sara Chang, I think Anne-Sophie is better on the last faster part. Not yet compare this with Perlman yet.

  • Brave,

I suggest to watch my playing,

  • i CANT believe anyone would even try to talk shit on anne-sophie mutter after listening to this.

  • She is very good 8D...but I prefer Perlman interpretation of this piece

  • really really outstanding!!!

  • Whatever we say, it's outstanding.

  • Showy and powerful. Outstanding!

  • for my money def one of he best female violinsts out there - v powerful player

and not at all bad looking for 45!

  • What for would you bother to play the Zigeunerweisen if you were not ready to do so with emotion and drama?? If you like to keep your emotions to yourself, it is just fine--but then you are not born to make music and give yourself fully to the audience. If music is the language directly from soul to soul, then you have to speak that language! Otherwise the outcome cannot touch us...

  • lol ya she is definitely dramatic but very talented. one of the best

  • Her playing has always been a bit too dramatic, in my opinion >__>

  • she is my german favorite violinist- wold class interpretation very emotional- goosebumps

  • Anne Sophie Mutter is a very good violinist, but does anyone else find her attractive?

  • She is very hot for a lady in her 50's.

  • She is not in her 50´s--she is 10 years younger than that., about 48 years.

  • She's beautiful :-]

  • yeah, definitly! She's a really beautiful women with character, personality and she just has sth!!

  • no i find her not realy attractive,

but i listen to the music,

not search the butiest woman allive!

and her violin playing are great!

  • i do- she is the best player and very attractive....gynaikara!!!!!!

  • That's Beautiful and I like her dress

  • why people like playing the second half so fast. I always love rabin and Anne's first half interpretation. However, the second half in general are so mechanic. I understand that it is a show piece, but there should be a balance.

  • un coup d'archet et une technique prodigieuse .

  • You need advise of a good psychiatrist.

  • agreed

  • Vanessa Mae?????? Better?????? pull out the ear plugs..... hear what i mean???

  • I'm an asian, too. But what your saying is at the first place racistic, and at the second place wrong, because what has Mao doneand the japanese at the second world war?!! and what about all the jewish violin players like Kremer or Heifetz?!!

    And Vanessa Mae?!!!

  • Did u just post the same comment on each Caucasian violinist? I think you should search youtube and put comments on every other non asian person. Do you feel like your part Neanderthal because your half Caucasian lol? "they massacre people and wreak havoc wherever they go" MaoT'se-Tung enough said.

  • vanessa mae?????? oh give me a break >.>

  • ohh... and all asians are absolute angels? just like caucations, there are some bad in every group..... i dont have anything against asians, a couple are close friends, but while your talking if masscarades, must i remind you of april 16. 32 humans dead. one not so human. just shut up, okay. the neandrathals lived before the iceage idiot, we have no way of telling that maybe even you have their blood in you.

  • I think you're so right. What language are you writing in, by the way ?

  • Why does Sophie always look like a model?! She's so pretty.

  • Because she tries to dress as model-ish as she can...for my part, I wish she'd put on a little bit more clothes so I can watch the videos on here - she's very good, undoubtedly - I don't like to see her in these types of dresses...more clothes please?

  • Her articulation is impeccable.

  • I think this video is for listen the sweet music and not for say this cain of things... the dress is not important here.

  • of course its not important man, i'm not stupid. Was just a joke, ok??

  • osa ma8imatika ksereis esu, allo toso violi kserw na paizw egw. kai tosin wra sunomileis me kopela kai den eimai violitzis tis sumforas, alla violonistria aksia anaforas. an eisai taktikos tou megarou kati 8a parei to auti sou. ta'pame

  • beautiful song!!!!!

  • I love her but I don´t like this performance.

  • yeah her playing is magnificent and beautiful and stunning. but all i can think of is her dress and how much i want it.

  • this lady is a brilliant violinist and her performance of Beethoven's violin concerto with Karajan cannot be improved upon!

  • i dont like the opening very much, but the slow part REALLY ROCKS (her shaking trembling vibrato is soooooooo unique)

  • magnifico

  • she reminds me of Heifetz

  • oh i just found it. its all written right there he he

  • what peace of music is this its amazing. could someone pleas tell me what the peace is called and who wrote it?

  • "Gypsy Airs" by Pablo Sarasate.

  • Can you belive that shes married to that old fossil previn.

  • She and Previn divorced in 2006.

  • thanks god they divorced!!! but anyway they were married i cannot beleve it!!! and she have two children who's the father? Previn? or her first husband? she's my favourite violinist she's one of the greatest violinst she is a godess ( i love that part of " that old fossil previn")

  • She is my favorite violinist! Fabulous!

  • and what a stunning dress.

  • God what an amazing interpertation. Thanks for sharing this.
