  • @rovitaqi Palm sugar (sometimes known as palem suikker in indo) is made of sugar dates while brown sugar is made of unrefined CANE sugar where extra molasses are left to reduce production cost(but adds that beautiful,rich,caramel-like flavour) get it at a local grocery store which preferably a big one around your area,but if you can't find it,palm sugar works well too,just that it would be slightly more damp/moist in comparison to a normal brown sugar. if you're in Jakarta, try Titan in Cilandak

  • I've done something like this recipe before. Used less cream, so when it thickened it got even firmer than this spoonable texture. Then roll balls of this stuff, and coat in nuts, cocoa, or whatever you like, and it makes awesome truffles.

    Coffee flavor is good, but 1/4tsp almond extract is also wonderful.

  • @nasristoner Heavy cream is like milk, but it's much higher in butterfat. It may be sold as "whipping cream" in the store. It'll probably come in a little pint carton, next to where the milk is sold. It's richer than milk or even half-and-half, but should still be liquid.

  • @Hienzetta Tried it with heavy whipping cream last night. It didn't thicken and become firm like in the video, but my friends tell me I could stir for much longer for it to thicken before chilling.

    Doing a google search for "heavy cream" and looking at the top few results says that heavy whipping cream is heavy cream.

  • @crystar4 def not. Theres way to much wax and milk solid in it, not high enough cocoa content. By the time you add all that cream, it'll soften the flavor if dark chocolate isn't really your thing.
