What I meant is, if I leave some power on until the flare, then chop, I get better landings. The stall horn is always blaring during the touchdown. Else you're too fast.
See the Carlo's "Indescribable Pilots" video. That's a spot landing in full idle. The runway is only 600 meters long, with a 45 meter power line pole directly aligned with it 20 meters from the threshold (a meter is 3.3 feet).
The touchdown was right on the edge of the pavement.
Well, there are several beach resorts nearby. San Fernando, La Union :-)

Try greasing it with the stall horn going. THAT'S a good landing and won't be achievable with the power at 1000 RPM.

Hey, Mark. 1513 is a sinker, and falls out of the sky when I chop (ask me how I know this)
If I leave 1,000-1,200 rpm on during the flare I get greasers :-P

Good effort Tonet. I always chop early as I'm used to landing at Omni...will try to replicate next trip up to SF. Best,
Mark
