If he shot at our troops, there is a pretty good chance he never would have made it out of a detention facility. You need to understand that we DO take prisoners. Nothing pretty about war. "Take no prisoners" is an often heard, but less often thought about phrase. I believe a lot of soldiers struggle with it emotionally later in their lives. We should endevour to avoid war and having to ask these young people to do this as much as we can I think...

You need to understand this in LEGAL terms. If you and an enemy soldier are shooting it out, obviously your life is in danger and he is the enemy trying to kill you, so killing him is not unlawful. But lets say the fighting is over and he is severely wounded and no longer a threat. You come upon him struggling to put a tourniquet on himself to save his life and you shoot him in the head. He is unarmed and no threat. You just kill him in cold blood, then you are guilty of murder.

You need to understand this in LEGAL terms. If you and an enemy soldier are shooting it out, obviously your life is in danger and he is the enemy trying to kill you, so killing him is not unlawful. But lets say the fighting is over and he is severely wounded and no longer a threat. You come upon him struggling to put a tourniquet on himself to save his life and you shoot him in the head. He is unarmed and no threat. You just kill him in cold blood, then you are guilty of murder.

This demonstrates very poor command by the leader of that squad - it is legal to kill wounded enemy IF they are still a threat or are still attempting to attack you.
This appears to be not the case, though it is a very short clip so you cannot be certain - e.g. the insurgent may have been attempting to prime a grenade.
This event would have been thoroughly investigated to determine whether this shooting fell within the laws of armed conflict; if not the soldier would have been charged.

i want a war in the USA!!! with dead american children lying in the streets.... soccermoms ravaged by insane bloodhungry rapists!!! and big fucking bombs dropped on all major US cities.... ....like the way USA demolishes every other country to govern "their superior ideology!!! so in Iraq and Afghanistan i hope for a slaughter of all stupid american troops.... but americans are gods chosen people according to themselves, so i say look to the church, with priests fucking altarboys in the ass.

@Rusiver You realize that America has freedom of religion, right? And what countries have we demolished so far? Germany? Japan? What about the countries we have aided, huh. Red cross members and millions of dollars to Haiti after its devastating earthquake and to Japan more recently. Is America the greatest country on earth? Probably not. Like any other country we have our faults but should we be condemned for aiding the innocent? I think not.

angels.ano u dont like the laughing but when ur in that situation u would understand.basicly when uv seen ur m8s fall and when they hide so much shooting u in a cowardly way and they shout allah ahkbar over and over.. well the feeling of gettin the cunt would of been satisfying for the marine.thats just war and some soldiers enjoy gettin a kill.that iraq deserved wot he got.
