Dumb pakistani man? This man arranged this interview making an opportunity for Hamza to speak to people like you and me, who wait in front of their PC to judge other Muslims, so we can get educated. If what Hamza was saying caused awe that is bcos Allah made it possible for Hamza to express these things through this man. And this is your opinion of him? Yes we do! Its clearly stated in the Holy book! The interviewer was not fit becoz his knowledge in comparison to Mr Hanson is clearly less, therefore the 'Pakistani man' showed haste in questioning the guest! So dont give me all that psychological factors for this show!

i like how the interviewer provides a balance approach to the conversation. i think he was not trying to fire at shaykh hamza, but simply to challenge and affirm. Alhamdullillah syakh hamza always answers question in all fairness, and with style and aplomb. Allahu Akbar!

Sheikh Hamza is a great asset to our community and he has done a great service to the UMMA over the years. I have personally been enlightened by his some of his lectures.

I agree with what most of Sheikh Hamza says but he has to be careful not to overuse words like "intellegent", "brilliant" or "anyone with half a brain can see that" since it can come across as condescending - because it may indirectly imply that if you don't agree with him, you are simply dumb. Many of the things he describes are not visible to the average person. Of course I don't believe it was his intention to belittle anyone.

Thats harsh. You all need to cut the interviewer a break. He is simply opening the gate for Sheikh Hamza with questions that you may agree or disagree with. And inturn Sheikh Hamza gives excellent responses. After all it takes two to have a rich conversation.

American's are importing Inteligent students from different countries so that they can programme their brains and make them to understand that thire way of life is better and free because americans know that those students would be the future of their countries and may speak in favour of america one day. above Dr...is one example i guess.

mashaAllah he's blessed with knowledge and beautiful preaching, and for his 10 years mashaAllah- not many people can say they spent that. give the brother his props and say 'May Allah bless him with continuous knowledge and guidance.' the brother cares about the UMMAH and is not afraid or affected by self-serving purposes in his work for this deen. he's done Muslims a great service mashaAllah. so how long does someone have to study before he can preach Islam? 20 years? 30 years? Why should he waste time only studying when he can study and teach others at the same time. How long did the Sahaba study Islam? Did they have to go to a University before they taught others? Of course not. They learned from the Prophet (S) and each other. Look at all the problems in the Muslim world. Do you really think you should be attacking someone who is trying to do something good for Islam?

Also, he is the most articulate and knowledgeable scholar I ever saw who speaks in English. Who else quotes from such a wide range of people, like Qadi Abu Bakr Ibn AlArabi and Malcolm X? All the other scholars and speakers in English only quote very basic sources like the Holy Quran and Sahih Bukhari, which is fine, but they never go into deep discussions. Hamza Yusuf does.
