This is Yemeni (dialect): ismad lana means ghan lana [sing to us]. This was also the view of Ikrimah. (Tafseer Ibn Katheer).

reciting nasheeds is not haram, but making salawat and singing it is not permisibble. We muslims are only allowed to do thikr and make ibada just like the prophet use to do. And the prophet(pease be upon him) and his companions never made singin thikr. And actually ibn mas'ud so ones sahaba who were sitting in a circle and manking thinkr outloud, he told them not to do, cuz that wasn't what the prophet ordered us to.

Always fellow the prophet(pbuh) in making ibada, no need to invent new ways.
