1994? total crap. This video is from 1986. I am 33, i remember watching it when i was 9 years old. You can see its from the 80's just by looking at it. A re-release does not count as the year it was made and first shown. This is pure 80's.

Oh how I love this song! It is definitely one of the best! I remember dancing to this song at school dances back in the 80's and I remember jumping in the car with my friends driving the countryside with the sun shining down on us and the wind blowing through us with this song playing on a mixed tape of so many awesome songs from that time and just feeling as free as you possibly can and thinking that life could never be any better than that very moment and I think I was right! I sure miss it!

@Praventore The lead singer said the song is about heroin addiction. Although he didnt use he imagined what it was like. This song is a good VS evil (thus the 2 smacking each other.

The lyrics were changed at the last minute to sanitize the lines "When I was a very small boy, very small boys talked to me, now that we've grown up together, they're all taking drugs with me" to "they're afraid of what they see," due to pressure from the producer.

No, you're also right. The video AND the song are remastered, which 's just a fancy name for 'we wanted to cash in, but fucked the product up while doing that'. In the meantime the original version, plus original clip, has been removed. I had it in my favorites, now i't is gone. Some artists are hard to understand... Fucking entertainment industry.
