That was pretty clever of Sentry to do that. Props for not using a proprietary battery pack; if one cell fails, they can buy a replacement from Walmart instead of having to go through Sentry.
@DasMidnightDrifter For some reason I never got any emails about comments on this video until now.. I never noticed that you pointed out that this is a -B model. I took a look today and sure enough, there is a huge battery box on the pole. I've updated the title and description. Thanks!
Nice beat between the two motors. It is like a German Martinshorn police siren, which has two off-tuned horns for each pitch to attract more attention.
How can you tell a 16V1T from a 16V1T-B? The V1T is driven by one (230V AC) dual-shaft motor connecting to both rotors. The V1T-B has two (12V DC) motors driving each rotor. You can hear the resonance of both motors spinning at slightly different speeds.
i hear an xt22 at the end

@DasMidnightDrifter Pretty much all battery backup sirens use Delco deep cycle marine batteries. You can get them at any autoparts store

@DasMidnightDrifter All sirens use generic deep cycle marine batteries, not just sentry

@DasMidnightDrifter They are 72 volts DC, not 12
Blue10AEMia 10 months ago
@Blue10AEMia 72 is a multiple of 12.... 6 car-style batteries wired in series?
DasMidnightDrifter 10 months ago
@DasMidnightDrifter Yes, That's why Sentry has a huge battery box.
