  • At 1:04 and 1:11 you play a wrong chord. You play F Major, but it is a D Minor chord. At least Mark Knopfler plays it this way.

  • love it man... great stuff

  • Gr8 version loved it Mark K would be chuffed to hear this well done mate

  • @fastE36

    thank you very much!

Salut

  • nice work bro!!

  • not bad

  • Very Nice!!! thx

  • nice

  • Nice groovy version. You're missing one chord, though. You're using F instead of Dm. It gives your version kind of a "happier" vibe during the bridge, but I personally like better the original one. Congratulations anyway :)

  • Woohoo!

    That's great!

    8-)

  • nice one!

  • very nice 5 stars

  • I just watched the 77 demo you posted, and was drawn to have a look at your guitar playing. I'm glad I did. Very nice, thanks for posting them both.

  • Way cool. I am going to try this one...thanks to you. James in Costa Rica.

  • Grooviest version beside Mark Knopfler's yet!

  • Thank you very much for nice comment!

  • Great cover jseb has the feel of Knopfler songs

  • Hi jseb. Yes Yes you got the feel of this. I see you study guitar music. The first time I heard Dire Straits on my van radio back in 1978 I knew this was something special. It was way to sophisticated for the UK pop scene at that time. It was one of the cathartic moments..like 9/11..the assasination of JFK. I am not at all musical but if I was...then MK would be my hero. To me MK is a contemporary Strauss.

  • Thank you a lot for your nice comment!

It's always interesting to know how people feel the music and how a song or a band is associated in the memorie with some historical even, or a own personal event...

Dire Straits have a special place in these 1970's ending years... and for me MK have a real talent of song writer and contemporary "composer", like Bob Dylan.

  • You deserve the comment. I remember too the first time I heard "Mr Tambourine Man" by Bob Dylan. I was about 14. This was another one of those moments frozen in memory. I waited about 30 years to find out who sang that song.

Trying to understand why these moments happen is like trying to catch smoke in the air...beyond rationality.

  • Excellent job man !

  • Very Nice Version. Bye Bye

  • niceeeee! Thank for this!

  • Suh-weeet.

    You nailed the groove!

  • fantesticle!

  • Well done!!

  • Great job my friend. This is one of those songs that has a very specific feel to it and you nailed it.

  • Great skill! Pitty that the video quality doesnt match the great sound...

  • Thank you very much for your comment!

I want to do a new video of this song with a better video quality. I want to play it with two guitars, an acoustic and a electric one. With the technique of re recording, I hope it should'nt be too difficult. Hope you'll like it too!

  • good acoustic song, and.... what about electric song?? any suggestion??

  • perhaps "all along the watchtower", in an hendrixian way...

  • good, waiting to listen to your hendrixian way very soon I hope!!!

  • i meant "thanks" of course, not "tanks"

  • very very nice... you make it sound as it was a j.j. cale song!

by the way, tanks for the comment to "our" sultans of swing

  • thank you!

In fact, I also appreciate the jj cale's music and guitar playing !

  • Enjoyed it! Thanks

  • Thank you for your comments!

I really appreciate it because you have a very good knowledge of the Knopfler's music!
