Well, Brothers In Arms is a mix between a tactical strategy and a shooter. Also, I think Brothers In Arms has the best story that a WWII game could offer, but I would try buying the original games (BIA Road To Hill 30 and BIA Earned In Blood OR BIA Dohble Time for Wii) in the series to have more of a "connection" to the game and you will be able to understand it better. Call Of Duty 2 is more of a linear shooter, but it is still a great game and it takes more time for the enemy to kill you.
