Love the way that D-Byrd keeps it right in the same groove that Dex was livin' in, while adding his own twists & turns to his solo - the 2 of 'em were perfectly-matched on this summer's day, in a Paris studio!
N-HOP also had a way of keeping a repetitive pattern from becoming boring, by stretching it out, playing with it a bit, taking it out for an occasional walk. Art Taylor's accents are always fresh also, since he was "in the groove", too - making it sound new, as well.
