It's not the battery pack... I have the same problem when i put the battery pack on my other controller, it worked. the cable works on the other controller too. so it is the pad.

dude its fucked up.. so im like i wanna play my xbox in the garage.. so i move all my junk to the next room then suddenly my controller just stops workin.. i can turn the xbox on with my controller but the xbox doesnt register that one is connected all i get is four flashin qaudrents on the controller.. so im think ok ill sync it.. over and over again.. maybe my xbox doesnt like my garage.. so i move it all back into my room.. nope so yeah im pretty fuckin angry right now >:D

Yeah it does work man, this is excellent, but if it doesn't work with the taking it out once, plug the cable in straight in, then put in - put out the battery 3 times, each time make sure you wait 2 seconds before taking it out... then plug it in a third time and success.. usually :L

Everyone says if the light doesn't go on your cable is stuffed. I use my controller for PC. The light stopped working about 6 months ago and the battery doesn't charge, but I can't believe the cable is at fault because I can run with NO battery, just the cable and it tells me the (invisible) battery is full. So confused.

you should just get a new Xbox controller and just use the battery back that it comes with because sometimes the battery stops charging and makes the controller stops wroking as well but if you can not then u r not going to be able to play for a long time

Mine does the same thing it looks like. Charger light turns red for a split second when plugging it in, then turns off. I have to wrap the cable around my controller to bend it to get it to charge at all. All my cables have this problem and it doesn't matter what controller I try it with.

I was playing a game last night and all of a sudden the game siezed up and all four lights on my wireless cont. flashed. I called x-box tech support and I had to re-establish connection with the controller and the console. Turn the console on as well as the controller. Press and release the small button on the console next to the "Memory Unit B" slot. Then press the small button on top of the controller that's next to the left trigger button. It worked for me, I hope it does for you.
