Actually there are some Kung fu styles that do fight with the palms of the hands and not just the fists, and some that fight with just the tips of the fingers. Kung fu is made up of many different styles of combat and combat techniques and stances... Including Eagle, tiger, Monkey etc.. kung fu is not just based around the fists.

thats not kung fu and by the way in china it's called WuShu I can see in men ways that this is just some lame ass fucking bullshit 1 in kung fu there are no belts and no karate suits 2 you use fists in kung fu not flat hands 3 in fighting sports when you fight another you hit them for real.
Kung Fu is Americanized, hence the belts and a tire. And you are correct about the traditional marshal art, but this is a skit to "Kung Fu" not "WuShu" ...
Classic comedians. I remember when I when I first saw John Byner & Billy Van on the Sonny & Cher Comedy Revue in 1973. Billy Van was a regular on the show in 1973,1974 & their final reincarnated show in 1976/1977 season.
John Byner did a parody of Elton John's Crocodile Rock which was a hit at the time of the episode. I also remember watching Billy Van on the Hilarious House Of Frankenstein too.
I loved this show, I remember watching it with my Parents. I was always sad when the show was over. SCTV was also great, it was a very good time for comedy, especially Canadian comedy. I just found out John Byner isn't Canadian. I always thought he was, poor guy!
The uncensored episodes have been released on DVD by an independent company, so it's a pretty limited, unpromoted release. I saw the DVDs at the BestBuy store at Dundas Square in Toronto.
The only thing good about this show was that it showed boobies. Back in the early 80's when I was a budding teen this show provided me with a rare glimps at the forbidden female frontal funbags. Other than that, this was far behind the real Canadian comedy juggernaut that was Second City Television.
The cable TV version showed the boobies and spoke the rude words. The version that ran on the CTV network showed the topless girls from the back and bleeped out the rude words with a loud HONK (which made them seem even ruder). Unfortunately, the show's American team treated the Canadian supporting cast members pretty disdainfully and even cruelly.
I also remember this show from the 80's when it aired in the states on the SHOWTIME network. I remember when they did a spoof of the classic Mean Joe Greene/Coca Cola commercial in which Byner played the young boy who offers a stripper a sip of his drink. In gratitude, she gives him her bra and she's topless. Then he said something to the effect of "if you'll wait there, I have a whole six-pack outside."
what kind of humor is this?
anyway its nothing for me seems something for kids

You're right - its not Kung Fu - its a comedy sketch.
I bet the bit where he takes his head and bounces it on the ground before throwing it back is fake too.
