So they go down and fight on the beach until the sun comes up. They were so well matched that they literally fought for hours until she finally got an opening and used the fight point palm exploding heart technique to kill him. This was changed due to the fact that they were under a tight schedule to get Volume 2 out by the release date. It's a real shame...

The problem is, Bill was always meant to be The Bride's match in combat. In the original script this scene was included, and the ending was different. They were meant to show that he could fight her evenly, but when removed you don't really get that sense anymore. If you remember in Volume 2, Bill suggests that they go fight on the beach, well originally they did. Bill had kept her wedding dress from the day of the massacre, which she wore, and Bill was in a tux.

3 stars because Michael over-acted. He did entirely too many uneccesary hand movements before the fight began.

Not only that, but the manner in which he delivered his lines was completely unbelivable. They sound to robotic.

Fighting was spectacular. It went exactly as it should have between Bill and Michael. And I adore a quick kill.

@StardustLord50 On the contrary, his delivery was pitch perfect. This scene is an excellent pastiche of those crummy acted, badly dubbed Hong Kong classics. What with Pai Mae and kung fu featuring in this movie, the movie needed a proper Hong Kong tribute scene (Kill Bill vol 1. made sure to have plenty of Samurai pastiches). I guess they took it out for the sake of pacing. Pity.
