  • yo the sun looks black in the back round if u look right at it awsomesauce

  • does the metel slow you down why siliding?please respond

  • Lol I have the same goggles but anyway can u get the plastic like at minards or homedepot? And could you maybe make a smaller box how to vid because my back yard is small plz respond.

  • how much is HDPE? 1ft wide by 8ft long and 1/4 inch thick? please respond

  • @iamthewinner12345671 I bought a 4' x 8' x 1/4" for $115.

  • sick box, check mine out :)

  • what metal did you buy

  • thank you so much!!!! I took your design and modified it so that I have a rainbow and an A box

  • IM kinda short on money u think sheet metal will work fine

  • how do you screw the HDPE in and where did you get the metal sides?

  • i always heard 1/2 inch thick because they tent to break, crack or shatter in cold weather when you land hard or somthin

  • I looked at the boxes up here at Sierra At Tahoe in Ca, the HDPE is only 1/4" on top of two sheets ply.

  • I HIGHLY suggest UHMW by poly-hi inc. I found it a lot better than HDPE and costs $240 for a 10 by 4 foot sheet.

  • does anybody know if u can use plexi-glass instead this HDPE stuff?

  • dumontSKIER2010

no you can't it cracks after like a week or so it sucks

  • lairds plastics sells HDPE,

check their website to see if they have a location near u they got like 50 stores...

for 8ft by 1.5ft wide its 44 bucks.. which is a good price... (1/4" thick..)

  • dude he wasent crying!

  • were you crying like 30 seconds b for the video because it sounds like it and u could be wearing goggles to cover the tears

  • @glitchmaster48 lol thats just what he sounds like dude

  • i no lol

  • nice goggles faggot

  • where can you fins hdpe?.....

  • does home depot have trex?

  • Home depot has to carry HDPE, thats is where its made.

  • HOME DEPOT DOES NOT CARRY HDPE!!!!!

  • yea i called and there was a long pause and then the guy was like let me transfer you and no one new what i was talking about. how much did you pay for yours?

  • hey im building a box and im done except for the top, i need a cheeper alternate to hdpe... any ideas?

  • @KingAlverson use trex, or plexy glass. but plexy glass can possibly crack

  • yeah, puckboard

  • Lol no offense but, it sounds like your about to cry... :D. Anyway you need to explain how to get the metal coping on...

  • How much did this box of yours cost cuz have no money cuz I spent it all on other snow shit

  • were do u think i could find hdpe cuz home depot doesnt cary it

  • where did you get the pvc you said you put on?is it a bunch of pipes or sheet? i also made my box the same as yours and it works ausome

  • its hdpe not pvc

  • if you read lower in the comments he said he put on pvc

  • does plexiglass work?

  • no it cracks

    h.d.p.e. is cheaper and better

  • @savethebunnysusa no it's not numb ass

  • @savethebunnysusa its better but a hell of a lot more expensive

  • Nice video... building a 10 ft box... gunna use 1/4" HDPE... if i don't use any coping is the HDPE gunna wear down along the edges?

  • it will over a long period of time, but it really shouldn't be to bad.

  • @SNOWBOARDBOXES Did you use for the coping on these boxes? It looks a bit like flat bar. Did you use stainless, or aluminum? I've thought aluminum sounds to soft for a nice coping, but i've heard peole have had good results with aluminum tube coping.

  • ya it will i just tried it on mine and i recommend it but its not necessary

  • yes it will but i i have riden mine a few time with no coping and 1/4 inch hdpe and it is fine it does peel of when you hit it with your edge but it will take a while to get all the way throught the plastic

  • @SpecialEd321 i made a 8ft box. and i bought 1/4 inch hdpe. buy coping. it doesnt have to be expensive. just some 1inch aluminum pipe. the sides of the hdpe get banged up fast.

  • How do you flush the metal with the hdpe?

  • what?

  • @SNOWBOARDBOXES How did you make the metal sides flush with the hdpe?

  • You can find hdpe at home depot ask for 1/4 inch 4x8 sheet of Aztec wood. It's called Aztec wood but ask them what it's made out of and they will say hdpe. It's around $90.

  • dude..aztec has HDPE in it but can be used as a top layer. Its pretty much wood with HDPE injected into it. I actually just got some of that stuff put onto my house...and it doesn't really seemed it would slide well. I know that l

  • how much is one of the hdpe things?

  • i got it for $115

  • yo how did you countersink the metal coping to make it flush with the plastic

  • dude i wouldnt put the metal coping on

i made a box 3 years ago and i never used metal and they dont have any flakes or shreds coming off the sides

  • yea. I changed it out with some this PVC. Its really smooth and cheap.

  • you dont. you cut the plastic so it fits inside the metal

  • Smith Fuse. They suck. Don't get them

  • Comment removed

  • lol. ur not ganna find a sheet any smaller than either 4x4 or 4x8. most likely ganna have to buy a 4x8...so u should make it bigger haha

  • Comment removed

  • uh a 1/4"x4'x8' sheet would cost prolly around $100. But you just have to see if there are any plastic manufacturers around where u live.

  • This is my other account...this is SNOWBOARDBOXES. check it out.

  • would trex be slippy enough

  • even

  • Wait...

So you have to use the wood screws and drill the HDPE to the box?

  • yea, i countersunk them into the HDPE...i mean the screw is going into wood...

  • sweet box this really helps thanks

  • how much is hdpe

  • nope, dont wax boxes!

  • hey did u wax your box?

  • screw down a 1/8 inch piece as fiber board then glue your plastic with caulk or some adhesive. Then you don't have to worry about counter sinking shit. and have unexpected screws come up and catch. Accident waiting to happen. Plus use 1/8 inch plexi-glass. Then put your metal corner molding on. rides way smoother like riding on water. Helps you learn how to slide faster. Damn rookie. Good try but you wouldn't so hot in the construction industry.

  • Sorry that im 15 and tried to be creative. I also have something called a budget and a 1/8" piece of plexi would crack easily in nice -10 degree weather. And a 4' x 8' piece of that plexi glass is just as expensive as my 1/4" sheet of HDPE. I put P-Tex over the screws and scraped it down so that accident would happen. Thanks tho.

  • that is possibly the stupidest thing i have ever heard in my life an im rlly hoping your not in the construction industry . plexiglass would crack in a second in the cold weather, let alone a sheet thats 1/8 of an inch thick

  • thats not plexiglass dumbshit

  • i was replying to a comment someone made about using plexiglass, i know he guy in the vid doesnt use plexiglass

  • oh ok srry about that miss understanding bro

  • get a colbalt or other type of counter bit head that can work with metal and counter sink the hole...put the screws in and that should work.

  • so your telling me that puckboard is hdpe pipe because ive been looking forever for some and i have stacks of puckboard

  • Yes!! lol dude puckboard is the retarded name for HDPE. where did you get hdpe pipe from??? lol

  • actually im hearing tht puck board is better cause its wat they use at resorts

  • puck board is made of hdpe

  • whats the name of the store?

  • alro

  • hey im gonna build a snowboard box and now im just blue printing it so.... i hear HDPE is the way to go for the top and you said the manufacturer was in ann arbor mi and did u go 2 the store or did u order it online and do u know the website

  • i went to the store and picked it up..

  • when did u put the plastic on it never shows it

  • i just never filmed it...

  • where is the plastic manufacture place

  • ann arbor, mi

  • whats the store's name?- i roll through there ocasionally

  • ALRO. Its on Industrial right off of packard..if you know where that is.. where you from?

  • how much did the frame of one of your boxes cost? im planning to just build the frame then put a sheet of hdpe on the top. and is the hdpe easy to cut?

  • one frame was about $30 (not including the sides). I got the sides from scrap pieces that were lying around my house. I got my HDPE cut at the manufature place so i don't really know. I asked the guy there and he said if you have a table saw it should cut fine. Do you know what size piece of HDPE your getting?

  • sick, they look really nice, this was the most helpful video i have found, nice job

how much did each box cost to make total

  • how much did it cost and if me and my dad carry it is it that heavy?

    Looks nice to

  • there shouldn't be. Mine worked fine. put some snow on it and a little water. that should work

  • yo where exactily could i find hdpe?...is there a certain store

  • how much was the plastic for the top? im interested in building a rollar coaster box. does the plastic bend at all?

  • I got it at a local plastic manufacture for $114. The plastic is really flexible. If you ever finish your rollercoaster box you should send a vid of it to me!

  • i may make a c box instead but im going to make some creative kind of box

  • Yo about how much did the box all together cost? and does it feel like the boxes in the parks when yu ride it?

  • I built 2 of them and put them together so their lighter. They feel GREAT! Im planning to make another box this summer and it will different so check it out

  • GREAT JOB !RESPECT

  • i didnt counter sync mine, when i drilled the poly ethylene, so i was hitting it and i was front boarding it and i caught my edge cause the plastic was sticking up where i drilled it and the whole sheet came right off.

  • thanks a lot ive been waiting:)

  • AWESOME DUDE!
