As a sportsbike rider and ex-GP road racer with 45 years of experience, and one who has migrated (mostly) to bicycling from motorcycling, I look forward to the the prospect of mass-produced, efficient electric motorcycles. THese may well bridge the engineering and performance gap between powered / human-powered two-wheelers.
Tochecini, the Agni Team based in India and winners, averaged just over 87mph through the 37.7 mile course. The fastest straight line speed recorded on Sulby straight was approximately 102mph.

More than that, its a bike builders race too! A whole new avenue to show ones engineering prowess without the taint of big business.
With fully faired bikes, speeds should be higher next time around.
For everyone that took part. I'm personally proud of you.
