  • Hi, Am looking for the complete text of Dhanvanthari Ashtottara Shatha namavali (108 names). Could someone please help?

  • According to Hindu mythology the gods and demons used the serpent cobra to churn the sea and agreed to share its wealth. The wealth pot of immotality(Amrit) and of poison among other things were hauled .While Visnu and gods drank the Amrit Shanker drank poson and his nek turned blue as he contolled the poson .Weath and medicine was also the boproduct of the mighty ocean at beginning of creation

  • thankyou for the knowledge that ever was

  • Dhanvanthari Ashtothram - 2nd mantra

aadhi deevaya namaha - aadhi means beginning..

So it should mean the god from the beginning is it not??

    Am i wrong?

  • @balakrshnan1987

    - aadhi means one who helps endure pain and mental distress.

The meaning "foremost" or in the "beginning" is not contextual here

Healing involves enduring disease and pain which is as much a mind process as it is a body process.

Hence I have used that meaning.
