  • I'd guess late 70's early eighties there was a Black Rapide based at Half Penny Green which used to do the parachute drops and another visiting one (orange) which spent a hell of a lot of time there. Does anyone by any miracle have any photos/Video of Half penny Green from the 70's/Eighties ? A lot more of the RAF side of it was still there as well as some disused aircraft by the road side . The Nuclear bunker is still in the Field on the old part of the site.

  • Beautiful aircraft. The powered hang glider was a treat and the DH89 is gorgeous. There's a DH-90 being restored at a neighbour's farm north of where I live.

But please, oh please get a tripod! Even second-hand. They're not expensive and they are compact. I was starting to suffer motion sickness. LOL

  • you can take a flight in one at Duxford costs £34 for adult £29 for child its worth every penny.

  • Beauty! And that really does look like a dragonfly :O

One flew past my house to or from Baginton in Coventry. I only caught a brief bit on video and it was very distant, but I could tell instanly the outline :)

  • Cool thanks for your comment and the one you saw would have been this very one which is based at Coventry Airport.
