  • Doesnt look like that much of a fail, if he didnt hit the dirt he mightve even pulled it off, and learning to drift on a closed off racetrack with a helmet on is the smartest thing to do anyways.

  • So you go to the track just so you can talk shit and videotape people trying to drift? Lets see your fantastic skills then, douche.

  • not funny. who posts videos of dudes learning to drift and makes fun of them? get a better hobby

  • dude u were doin ok 4 like 1 sec till u wrecked

  • Props for learning on the track though. Honestly my tacoma can only spin in 1st gear and 2nd if it's wet. It's pretty hard to get the tires spinning consistently in 3rd even in snow. But that's probably more the result of 31" tires and a 4cyinder engine.

  • better then me i would of been in somebodys living room

  • this is at adams drift track in riverside ca

  • it may be a fail, but not as bad as the mustang haha

  • are you kidding me with the annotations

  • Get a life man!

  • just remember to compensate for the bed in the rear cause that's pulling you in the turns

  • i used to drift a Dakota he's gotta get used to drifting with a long ass bed in the rear its not like drifting a passenger car where its not long as hell in the rear

  • the video was over before i could x out of al the textboxes :(

  • Drifting a short box truck is a bitch. I just figured out the chemistry for my truck and now im not bad, but Its not nearly as easy as a standard box or long box.

  • here, have a dislike.

  • drifting utes are harder, there alot lighter in the back then the front so sometimes they can be unpredictable, but full credit for him trying

  • @BazzMaaan utes are easy as, not sure where you're from but in aus people drift that shit all the time.

  • atleast he is trying...

  • Better suspension is all he needs and then he will be on the tracks like a pro...well.... he will be better than this.

  • At least it dosent have 30 inch rims and a Candybar name on the side of it.

  • blown fr tire

  • The music in the background sounded like the beginning of "Love is Gone," by David Guetta.

  • this was almost a good video but it wasnt

  • 4 banger piece of rice junk.

  • @rm250ar Way to hop in the bandwagon dude. BTW. Toayota also has another "Ricer" called the Lexus LFA. Talk about rice huh...

  • @1v1oCODoStatus how is a v10 engine consider rice? rice is the inline 4 bangers and i personally own one :)

  • @imbogfootstrato Inline V10 (0.o) That would be crazy. I have one too though. I just hate people that talk about ricers, unless they are the stereotypical Honda Civics with the huge spoiler and different wheels on all four tires and shit. Because that's what makes the stereotype. But this is just a truck that was rear wheel drive I'm guessing and drifting around a bit. How does that make it rice? That's what I'm getting at.

  • At least its RWD unlike all those FWD Drift kings on youtube haha

  • i actually thought he did a good job trying to link the drifts

  • trucks are harder to drift!

  • I see plenty of videos of his videos saying "failed drift" but i don't see any of him himself drifting...

For all those trolling, listen, you can talk about failed drift, when you get out there and try it yourself. Chances are, most of you haven't ever driven a vehicle at all, let alone driven a rear wheel drive vehicle in a drift situation, or even in snow or ice.

  • @norcobigfootrider I once drove a RWD station wagon for about 8 kilometers, sideways the whole way. It was in a surprise snowstorm, with some insane wheel ruts, and my snow tires were due to be installed in two days. I couldn't get traction to stop from slipping sideways when I accelerated from a standstill, so I let it go where it wanted, and drove home sideways.

I think I probably qualify to say "drift fail".

He should have eased off when he headed for the shoulder.

  • @cbiltcliffe Drifting on snow/ice is much easier than drifting on dry pavement. You barely need to touch the fuel to get sideways on ice/snow, it's quite simple to drift in the winter actually. As for on pavement, you need a lot more throttle control, if you give it too much you're going to do what happened in this video, and if you give it too little you're not going to get into a slide. Yes, you can ease off but if you were already too far into it it's not going to stop.

  • @norcobigfootrider Getting it sideways is easier on snow, but it's just as hard to control, because it's so easy to give it too much and get...well....more sideways. There's also traction inconsistencies due to salt, drifts, etc.

Besides, I'm not meaning 8 kilometers of sometimes sideways, sometimes straight, sometimes sideways the other way...

I mean, literally, sideways for the entire trip.

I must say though, it did wonders to stop the idiots from tailgating me....

  • 10 points for effort!

  • thats why .. uhh.. lets see.. how can i put this... hmm. YOU DON'T USE A TRUCKK to DRIFT.

stick to filling it with logs, wheel barrels, and large unnecessary boulders ! lol

  • @stealth7769 You can drift in a truck just fine... You just have to be 2% smarter then the vehicle you're using. So I suppose some of us couldn't do it but what ever.

  • @stealth7769 My friend could easily drift in his truck.

  • @stealth7769 if its RWD it WILL drift just put on some damn good suspension mods a LSD short shift kit cold air intake and a different clutch and your good all it takes is someone with knowledge of drifting to drift a truck not some moron like you that trolls around saying trucks cant drift now that being said go hop in you mothers minivan and go to the corner store and get me some beer

  • @xXxchipperchopperxXx Why the hell do you need all those mods to get something to drift? Shift kits? Cold air intakes? Really?

Start with something half decent to begin with, and you won't have to mod it to death.

    Like, maybe, this: watch?v=TTTTeniw87M

Top heavy, and still does pretty well.

    Or this: watch?v=s9NO2VVuI48

That last one might be modded a bit, though, from the looks.

  • @cbiltcliffe ok well maybe you dont hv to have the shift kits and cold air but thats how i started min was under powered and could barely chirp the wheels in 3rd so i did some power mods like cold air exhaust MSD ignition and some bigger injectors and now she smokes all day in 3rd but 4th is a little finicky lol time for a turbo and tuned ECU

  • @xXxchipperchopperxXx those are not power mods, LOL

  • @jzk420 then explain how i gained power

  • @xXxchipperchopperxXx easy, you didnt!

  • @jzk420 then why is my car more powerful and since when doesnt more fuel and air not make more power bigger injectors for more fuel cold air intake for more air and high flow exhaust so it has less restriction oh and also you dont know who i am and you most certainly dont know my car

  • @xXxchipperchopperxXx just cuz its louder doesnt mean its faster

  • @jzk420 never said because its louder means its faster moron

  • @xXxchipperchopperxXx

Anyone who knows something about how an engine works can tell you have know clue what your taking about.

Bigger injectors are for cars that are consuming so much air the stock injectors are maxed out.

Cold airs don't provide that much more air, larger injectors in this case are a ricer upgrade. You don't need them.

Get a wideband, a proper ecu reflash, and some dyno time, then "maybe" you'll see about 10-15hp with those mods.

  • Good on him for giving it a go. half the people who have bad mouthed him probably dont even have a car

  • ute would have to be one of the best things to drift, no weight in the back

  • my friend drifts his 95 ford ranger like a boss you'd be supprised at what you can drift.

  • @JsDs1020 anything with rwd lol

  • Adams cart track. Nice place too bad its full of bros and skanks.

  • i like the video cause its the first youtube one that has positive comments. i've never seen a vid like this that didnt have 100 comments saying "lol you suck go die!"

  • well he almost got the hairpin

  • I can drift a skateboard.

  • stock motor ?

  • it is a fail. BUT AT LEAST, he's doing it on a proper area, on a race track!

  • @Ahya728 on a gokart track but at least hes being safe lol

  • @Ahya728 Since when is Walmart parking lot not a proper area to drift your car?

  • @ryanmxn because there are lots of woman drivers strolling around. If you know what I mean :)

  • Actually wasn't terrible, you don't start out as a professional, even the best drifters have spun out and crashed... do you expect buddy to be a perfect drifter right from the get go?

  • dude? how is that a fail.. Like chile1212 said "gota start somewhere... Id say thats a win because he is trying.. My first time out i was too afraid of the gas and ran over 2 cones... Now im too gas happy and blow tires on the track

  • less throttle would keep the rear from spinnning out like dat mann..

  • he did pretty good first turn haha

  • its really not tht bad at all, i mean come on its a truck

  • @codizel123 Trucks are surprisingly good drifters, look up "general lee drifting at turner field" and "miniz drift pickups RB26" they don't need engine swaps like those trucks either, the 2RZ in that black Tacoma that failed the drift has been built to 1200 hp by plenty of drag racers. Look up Paradise Racing,

  • props for going to the track to do this stuff! wish we had a track near my town..

  • awesome

  • Man, that's fuckin' dope! Who cares, far from fail, a fail is more like causing severe bodily injury or damage to the vehicle, this just looks like a fucking awesome attempt.

  • Congratulations to this guy for trying. You have to start somewhere. All your videos are of people who are actually trying to learn more car control. No fail here. Better to spin out on a track than try to street slide like a cockjockey and hit another car.

  • It´s not lol !

    It´s not must see !

  • Adam's Motorpark?

  • nice slide show. That sucked more than drifting itself!

  • this guy bags on cars failing but has no videos of himself. what a jerk man

  • lmao that dude owns. anyone who drifts a truck is cool in my books

  • its a trunk its better if you just drive it like on.

  • If he didn't run over the clipping point he would have made it

  • its easy for him to say fail. but i dont see him trying to drift. I give five stars to the guy in the truck for trying and being different with a truck out there. So for those of you who said FAIL! i dont see you out there trying to drift... cunts!

  • you need more power,a full posi, and learn how to counter steer!

  • Faggggg fagggg you stinking mutilate boner haw you do a spin around in a drift car like fast ggllish rawntard

  • @mocker56789 huh? lol

  • @bighungary29 its a foreign language...called dirtbag-o-nese

  • what a fail lol. see my videos

  • what a fail lol

  • i got a feeling...that drift gonna failed

  • this isnt exactly "FAIL". He tried and spun out, it could happen to anyone in any car trying to drift. Jlito, do you have any videos of yourself drifting?

  • this track is famous for fails at this stage.

  • he was just taking the truck back to it's natural habitat :P

  • May bee if you threw some more rocks on the track it would help

  • The only Ute which can drift are Holden Commodore Utes and Ford Falcon Utes.

    Aussie Aussie Aussie!!!

  • nice try

  • Hey not too bad. I know ppl than't drive at all lol

  • gotta start somewhere

  • addaaaaaaams

  • gotta give this guy props, most people would even attempt that.

  • still sick thoughhh !

  • I bet most of you can't even drift this track with your car.

  • i've seen alot worse

  • Watching a Toyota Tacoma truck trying to drift is like putting mag wheels on a wheel chair.

  • Ohhh....and i kinda lik da tunin on da Tacoma, LAWL xD

  • caught the dirt much ?

  • WTF

  • recalled

  • says who?? can drift anything with wheel with the know how. best with anything RWD

  • not sure the truck has enough speed to shift the weight into the front tires for traction.

secondly, that guy skids, not drifts.

  • @ssj2optimus i think the problem is more along the lines of not enough weight to shift the truck around.. those things are light with horrible weight distribution in comparison to cars

  • @adl16v Lol grew up sliding my trike as a little kid before I even heard about drifting!

  • can somebody tell the driver you drift cars not trucks

  • @trainboy414 have you ever seen the pro drift tournoments ther is always atleast one truck.

  • Yes i have but the trucks they use are designed to drift not one from the street

  • @trainboy414they tune them yes but still one guy uses a Chevrolet El Camino. ;}

  • I know they drift them but they mostly use cars. The el camino is more of a car than it is a truck.

  • @ trainboy414 True oh and i love your xmods by the way i accadentaly clicked on your profile and saw them they are sick!

  • yea thanks my mods are basicly my life.

  • @trainboy414 it looks like it.

  • yea thanks

  • @scrow619 I have been to at least 2 pro drift tournaments and there has never been 1 truck

  • @SEWegman well arent you cool. ive seen a truck so fuck every one of you guys.

  • There has been tuned vanz, sorta, though....xPP

  • somebody shoot the driver

  • what uh "fucktard"!!!

  • Great drift maschine :D.

  • haha lol

  • Laaaaaaaaaaaaame.
