@GoldenDurian Exactly! I feel less folks are going to buy camcorder since many P&S cameras can shoot video pretty darn good! IMO, reason why some, like myself, jumped over to the DSLR bandwagon.

Great video but the noise might not be so great. But if you were making a music video or something you could mute the clip during editing and do some voiceovers so I guess it's not ALL that bad.

How is the battery life of this camera? And does it record video for only a certain time or does it record as long as you have space on the memory card? How would you rate the video quality?

@alphacat626 I'd say it has really good battery life, I use it quite a bit and I only charge it about once every 4 or 5 days for 3 hours or so. I beleive it can record for 29 mins 59 secs and then you have to record another clip otherwise it vould be classed as a video camera and they cost more to import.

its possible  use the button AF/AE Lock to Lock the exposure during video recording? I known that G10 does not have manual controls for video recording.

The g10 has a mic input or only the g2?

it does have a mic input, but it's a 2.5mmm jack, whicj means you'd need an adapter to use it with normal mics.

@Videofool12 sorry for insist in this question again but a lot of g2 owners and own panasonic web site shows only G2 with stereo mic plus remote. the G10 displays only for remote conection.

Have you tested the mic input?

This will be my real decision, because i dont need the G2 extra features, but i need external mic input

Umm I think it's possible to connect a MIC in the g10. I've heard from people that it's possible.

@oyapon hey i have watched loads of videos on this and there is 1 solution if you do get this camera and dont mind spending over $100 more. it is baicaly a mic from another camera but does go in he remote control jack and works perfectly hope this helps man i am having trouble posting this i will send the link through PM ok
